We are walking in today:  Prepare Your Heart For Revelation.

Many times people are apprehensive or uncertain regarding the book of Revelation.  We must take time to prepare our hearts to receive from the Lord.  To see what God has to share with us from the book of Revelation.  The expression of fear, is only reserved for the Lord.
We were not given the spirit of fear.  What spirit are you of when you are afraid of the wisdom of God?  2 Timothy 1:7-8 7) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.  So we are instructed to be not ashamed nor have the spirit of fear.  We should not be shamed of the testimony of Christ, or the afflictions that come because we believe in Him.  The actual understanding of God's wisdom, is our responsibility to reach for, upon acceptance of Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior.  We are to believe--God give us understanding.  Seek the Father in His word and ask Him to revel the mysteries.  Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.  We are responsible for believing!!  We believe in Christ!!  Jesus, our savior and Lord.  We must seek understanding for what we don't currently understand.  Just like children who are in need of understanding will seek a teacher or parent for the answers, we too must seek our Heavenly Father.  Fiveamprayer, we are to ask the Father--James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  God is the Author, who else can you ask?!  He is Source--of everything!!  The Holy Spirit is set in place to leads us to all truth, we must study the scriptures--to get to the truth.  We must gain this understanding and to seek Him and meditate on this before we enter into the book of Revelation.  Then we are able to hold to what God has taught us!   Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.  Our Savor, provides us the two pillars that our faith rests on during these end times-- watching and praying.  We are encouraged to to watch--vigilant attention, careful, to overcoming our own nature and constant prayer, praying always that we may be counted worthy; to be able to enter the kingdom of God.  The importance of these two pillars is that they are calling us to scrutinize our lives and to deal with the problems in them.  We are not to note them and complain about them.  Telling brothers and sisters about them.  We have been made overcomers by Christ, who resides on the inside of us.  We must pull on that indwelling Christ--to overcome our problems, issues  and circumstances.  How important is a thing that is mentioned two times--Genesis 41:32 32) And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.  How significant is it, if the Bible mentions 15 times in just one book, the one about the end times, Revelation?  In the end time message, Christ says seven times, I know your works.  We must recognize that God knows the heart of man--that is where the true works are really happening.  That is why Paul so often speaks of circumcision of the heart the cutting back of fluff and fakeness, getting to the true motives.   Look at David, a man after God's own heart, who made many mistakes.  Christ says 7 times I know your works--Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.  Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  What are your works?  They are simply the results of our efforts in overcoming--our failures and successes.  Jesus knows that level of overcoming.  Then for each church whether a group or attitude, He comments on that effort.  Overcoming is highlighted another seven times in Revelation.  As Christ ends each of His critiques with a promise that begins with, to him who overcomes.  In this preparation before we begin to study, we need to understand that the focus is, for us to overcome.  To do the work and make sure that He knows our work thereby knowing us.  We must prepare our hearts, to prepare the soil of our hearts and minds--to receive so that this will be a blessing to us.  As an exclamation point, Christ  warns us 7 times--a number that signifies completeness, to heed what He says to all of these churches.   To every church that we will encounter and review in going through Revelation, He continues to encourage and warn them.  Christ addresses overcoming a 15th time, in Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  The promise is made to those who overcome, he who overcomes shall inherit all things.  Then He will be our God and us His son.  Revelation shows us that job one for Christians, is to overcome--especially some one living in the end times, that is certainly us!   This is the message in Luke 21:36 in the new testament, that prepares your heart for the things to come.  We have to overcome to be with Him in God's kingdom.  Salvation itself hinges on our cooperation in overcoming.  In the parable of the ten virgins, demonstrates the importance of overcoming.  The five wise and the five foolish, illustrates the supplies of oil, is the filling of the Holy Spirit.  Where the water represents the power of God, the Holy Spirit to cleanse, the oil represents the power to work, to do good.  The difference between the virgins was their good works.  How much they overcame their selfish human natures by acting in love towards God and man.  Like Christ said several times in Revelation, I know thy works.  Both groups had oil but the foolish virgins did not have enough for the unexpected, long delay.  When they cry out, their lamps were still burning but sputtering and about to go out.  They were not prepared for the long haul, they had not continued to overcome.  So often there are times when we are faced with tests and tasks that seem overwhelming to us.  Why are we not reaching into our spirit, looking towards God?!  Why are we looking to something in the natural to appease, comfort or help us?!  When God has truly given us the supernatural to overcome!  The foolish virgins did not continue in overcoming--enduring until the end.  Their oil, their works, their overcoming--proved to be insufficient for the task.  In this one point they failed and what a foolish failure it was.  Oh my Lord!!  Luke 21:36 emphasizes the importance of watching, Christ makes a specific promise to those at the end who are watching and working it out.  Attending to the issues of life, watching--that is successfully overcoming!!  Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.  Conversely considering, the implication:  Jesus gives a chilling judgment to the virgins who fail to overcome.  That judgement is a concentration for everyone--I do not know you.  Many of us proclaim to know the Lord.  I don't doubt that you do, but do you know Him in every aspect of your life?  Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.  I will leave this first blessing of Revelation in your spirit today.  That is just a prelude to what God is getting ready to do--you must be prepared.  I encourage you to prepare your heart, to concentrate on the word that was stated in your hearing today, to bless your spirit and soul.  To gird you up for certainly a fight--a good fight.  A fight that we want to and have to win!!  The ways of good warfare, we are seeking to do, in studying Revelation.  We must come to understand that this book is strength and a weapon of power!  Even more so, it is an anointing and a blessing that God has placed on our understanding, as the scripture states--in Revelation 1:3.  It serves that the time is near that we all know because we know that word. and by looking around and seeing what is happening.  Because we have been watching--to a certain degree, we know that it can really say, the time is now.  We will continue in Revelation for the rest of this week.  I encourage you to pray to receive understanding and prepare your heart for what to do with what God is sharing with you.  Study and pray over these scriptures.  God wants you ready.  This is a girding up for His saints.  As we go through this word.  Pray that each one of you, receives the blessing, that He placed inside of this book--in reading, hearing and understanding.
Walk in Revelation, look at the times that we are living in!  How the people perish for lack of knowledge.  We are more than overcomers, more than conquerors--because Jesus overcame the world!!  He is our Alpha and Omega!!  Thank you Rev. Christine Duncan, let those who have ears to hear, let them hear!  Prepare to walk through the book of Revelation all of this week.  We are seeking more knowledge, wisdom and understanding of Your word, Lord!  We are coming out of a Holy Ghost revival, we are in a fight!  Be not deceived who the enemy is, we have to fight--unmoveable, abiding in the word of God!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood:  1 Chronicles 4:10
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Welcome to the overflow...Come on fiveamprayer, we are to watch and pray to get a revelation from God.  Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy!  He is doing a new thing!  We receive it!  We are ready for more.  They that hunger and thirst for You shall be filled.  Hallelujah God!!   Fill us till we want no more!  We are so excited for what God is gonna teach us this week!  Get ready for this word, prepare your heart!  Visit us on facebook and have a blessed day!
