Revelation Of Weapon Of Strength.

Revelation 1:1; 2 Peter 3:8-9; 2 Timothy 1:7; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Revelation 1:2, 3, 4; Luke 9:20; Isaiah 11:2; Hosea 4:6

We are walking in today:  Revelation Of  Weapon Of Strength.

Yesterday we walked in Luke 21:36, concentrating on not being afraid of the book of Revelation.  We have no need to be fearful.  I would have you to know that there is many different symbols in this book.  Many you may have heard of, the 7 seals, the 7 churches, there is a theme of 7 in this book.  Just to add to your comfort level as we walk through this book, the number 7 means completion.  We can walk in the power and knowledge of knowing that God is completing a work in us.  To God be the glory!  Which lines up with scripture.  Because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith!  He would not have us ignorant or walking around with only half of His word!!  To God be the glory!  This book, the Revelation of Jesus Christ, is a weapon of strength!
How do we wage a good warfare?  Good warfare is waged by possessing the knowledge of Christ which builds faith in Christ.  We encourage you to study to show thyself approved.  John the disciple who Jesus loved, and was extremely close to him was used by the Lord to author 5 books.  John wrote the Gospel that we might believe that Jesus is the Christ.   John also wrote the 1 John, 2 John & 3 John epistles that we might know that we have eternal life.  John wrote Revelation that we might be ready to receive it.  The Revelation of Jesus Christ is what they needed in that day and what we need today!  The book of Revelation is not primarily to give us enlightenment about prophecy--if you study this book to give enlightenment about prophecy, you may struggle with it.  The primary purpose of Revelation is to give enlightenment, for us to encounter Jesus personally.  This is revealed to us in the first verse of the first chapter, Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.   When we focus on the person of Christ that is when the words of prophecy come together. This is the revelation which was given to Him (Jesus) from God when? After He died, rose and ascended to the right hand of God the Father Almighty. (I encourage you to Selah).  Now we are at the time in history that almost every day we see some news on CNN where there is something that relates directly to bible prophecy a) the Middle East is constantly in the news b) Russian events causing everyone to wonder what happens.   All these events the bible speaks about including Europe and the unification of that continent.  All of these issues, we will be looking at in this study.   Please Read,  2 Peter chapter 3.  2 Peter 3:8-9 8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  With the Lord it is a whole different economy when it comes to time.  1000 years is as a day.  1 year is like a minute.  It is time to get a deeper understanding of His glory and His greatness to have a greater intimacy with the Lord personally.  The book is not primarily to enlighten us about prophecy but that we might encounter Jesus with a greater intimacy.  If we can embrace the mindset as we approach this book that much like those who received this letter initially, in that time 96 A.D., a time when Christians suffered greatly the harshest persecution and millions were dying to hold fast to this truth we will say:  I need to have a revelation of You, Lord.  I want to be closer to You, Jesus.  I want to learn about You, Lord.  Then all the seven spirits which sit before God will manifest in our spirits also.  1) The Spirit of the Lord, A Rod out of the Stem of Jesse (House of David), A branch that grew out his roots- The Son of David-Jesus 2) The Spirit of Wisdom 3) The Spirit of Understanding 4) The Spirit of counsel 5) The Spirit of Power 6) The Spirit of Knowledge 7) The Spirit the fear of the Lord.  The seventh spirit is not in contradiction of 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  This is a spirit we walk in as a reverential fear of the One with all power.   Solomon the wisest man clearly expresses it as the complete duty of man in Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.  Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified(symbolic code) [it] by his angel unto his servant John.  When you are informed of something ahead of time it is for your benefit.  So we see the scripture:  God will not have us ignorant of Satan’s devices.  Revelation 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  John was the author and final member remaining of the apostolic team who walked with Jesus.  John during this time period had been arrested and placed in a cauldron of boiling oil by the Roman ruler at the time Caesar.  Yet, the hand of God was upon him and John did not die.  The apostle of Love, which never fails and surely did not fail him, in that situation.  John is approximately 100 years of age.  After his retrieval from what should have been his demise, leadership decided to exile John to the island of Patmos since obviously he was difficult to kill.  Revelation 1:3 Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand.  There is a promise of blessing when we read, hear the true prophecy of Jesus and keep the things we have received.  According to our scripture we read already, we know that God is not slack toward His promises--2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne.  Asia, is now known as modern day Turkey.  This scripture is addressing of the 7 churches in Turkey.  Why? The guidance to the Kingdom, is the character of God.  We should have a good grasp on the book of Joshua (which means Yashewa--Jesus) who led the people into the land to establish the Kingdom.)  The mere exercise to walk around the wall of Jericho, 7 times carrying the ark was illegal according to the Jewish customs.  Therefore God, even then was doing something new--outside of the customs and practices of the culture.   All to paint the picture of the coming Kingdom.  Likewise when we begin to unfold the revelation of Jesus Christ we too will see the picture being completed for all of us, as it finally was for Jesus.  Let’s not forget this is a deeper revelation about Jesus and it will present completeness in our spiritual maturity and daily walk.  Whatever you have been struggling with, or feel unsettled about as it relates to your relationship with Jesus will be made peaceful and full of grace after this study. The 7 churches listed represent seven epics in church history.  These seven represent the historic spiritual conditions and experiences recognized in the church up until the coming of Jesus.  This letter continues to unfold the revelation received by Peter where Jesus asked Peter in Luke 9:20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.  It is here we see the first building block of the church set in place with knowing who Jesus was.  As Jesus goes on to point out to Peter and now to each of us as we study, “flesh and blood has not revealed such knowledge unto you.” (Matthew 16:17)  Jesus now sends notice to the 7 churches that have been built upon the revelation received by Peter who stood on Christ, the solid Rock.  Jesus relays the message of Grace and Peace from God.  This Greek greeting identified grace as a thing of beauty and favor.   The Hebrew greeting of ‘peace’ is the root of the word used here which represents the peace that the Father declares as His eternal characteristic extended to you for assurance of His love and adoration. Seven is the number of completeness and is the theme for the book of Revelation as previously stated.  It completes the 66 books of the bible; it completes the knowledge as it concerns the revealing of Christ.  Revelation also completes the expectation of the church and identifies the 7 spirits which reside with the Father.  The Father wants us certain that we have access to all He has to offer when we seek Him and we lay at His feet.  You can see the seven spirits in the presence of God in, Isaiah 11:2  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  Take the time to read these scriptures for yourself.

We thank You, Lord for this revelation of strength.  We are holding on to Your strength.  The joy of Lord is our strength!!  As we walk through the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ--it reveals, that God wants us to retain His word.  Lord have fiveamprayer, really take hold of this word, not letting go nor setting it down!!    Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.  We lift up fiveamprayer, to You Lord, have us all to walk with all wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Your word.  We want more of You and less of us!!  We lift up Rev. Christine Duncan, as she walks through the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ, thank You for lining up our spirits, in Your word.  You told us that 2011 is our year of abundance,  and it has been--receiving more wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Your word.  Then You close out this year in the month of December, walking through the last book of the Bible!  Closing out the year for fiveamprayer in the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.  You are the God who is, was and is to come--the same yesterday, today and forever!!   Fiveamprayer, hold on to what your learn about this book!!  God would not have us be ignorant of satan's devices.  He is revealing His peace and understanding to us--showing us that His grace is sufficient!!  Hold on a little while longer to God--He is revealing all of the mysteries--the unseen, seen.  Hallelujah! We lift up fiveamprayer,  have them to hold on to the revelation--the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown.  We lift up Cheryl for healing.  We know that by His stripes, she was healed, We thank You for restoring her health, for You are the Great Physician.   We come to ask for forgiveness, Lord.  For when You forgive it is cast as far as the east is from the west--remembered no more.  Teach us how to forgive others so that we are forgiven and our prayers not hindered.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Welcome to the overflow...
