Matthew 26:34-35 34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 Timothy 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Ezekiel 3:1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

We welcome Deacon Troy this morning who is sharing with us on the account of God's servant Job.  What do we do when faced with calamity in our lives, is our response to worship God?  Look at Job in the first chapter, he lost every thing and fell down to worship God.  Then upon His physical torment he is still found praising God.  His condition was so drastic that his friends did not recognize him and wept with him for seven days.  We are to encourage those that are hurting that is why there is one body in Christ.  Continue reading Job for yourself, he never curses God's name nor places the blame at God's feet--even with all that he suffered.  In comparison Peter who was a great man of God who is told by Christ Himself that he would deny Him three times and Peter said no I won't.  Yet he did before the cock crowed.  We must hold on to our faith in God.  Let us walk in such faith as Job that we can reach others, not being suppressed by man's laws--taking prayer out of schools and not displaying the ten commandments on your front lawn.  We follow God and He is the one who brings us through.  We should continue to say grace over our food in restaurants and encourage others looking on to join you in prayer.  Let us not be found whispering are you a Christian?  We should be walking and living our life to show who we serve and love.  God owns all that is in the earth!  All that you have has been given by God--whether by the the ability to receive what you have or other means from His hand.  We must be obedient to share in what God has given us for the up building of the kingdom.  When you meet God, you won't be carrying your riches.  So when you are faced with a broken car or lights cut off, stand in faith with God.  Knowing that He is still keeping you.  Hold on to God, our faith should not be effected by what you are facing in your life.  See God's hand in all that is going on.  A wayward child is heartbreaking but praise God that they are still alive.  You can keep drawing them back into the kingdom of God.  Hold on to this account of Job that you would remain in faith no matter what!  Thank You God for bringing us together to lift up Your name.  To be able to worship at Your feet!  Lord we ask that You would pour back into Deacon Troy for what he has poured out on the line this morning! Thank You for sending him to remind us of Job, that we have not truly suffered all that much, and yet with him loosing everything, Job remained in faith!  To hear more click here.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  Where is your faith?!  Hold on to the anchor for our souls!  We shall say nevertheless, Thy will be done!  Amen!
