We are walking in today:  Be Careful Not To Give Hell Permission With Your Tongue!

James 3:3-6 3) Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4) Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5) Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  Fiveamprayer we truly found out what the word of God means, as we walked in the word decree on yesterday.  We must deal with the tongue on a deeper level.  Be careful not to give hell permission with your tongue.  Have you ever wondered why James was so negative about the power of the tongue?  After all, Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  The tongue can be used for evil and good, but why does James seem to focus on the evil that the tongue produces?  The Lord answered, because James is speaking to the majority of people.  Most people are negative; most people use the tongue for evil and not good.  The tongue too often is poison, instead of the balm of Gilead.  Most people are speaking death instead of life, curses instead of blessings. Notice James uses three analogies to describe the tongue. He describes it as a rudder to a ship, a bit in a horse's mouth and a small spark.  They all are very small, just like the tongue.  Out of all the parts of the body, the tongue is one of the smallest parts--yet it is the most powerful part of the body.  Your tongue is the most powerful instrument you possess.  A rudder is used to determine the direction of a ship.  The wind may be blowing from the west, and normally the ship would be blown off course, but with a rudder, the ship can go right into the storm and stay on course.  The same is true of your tongue.  The winds of sickness and poverty may be blowing against you, but by the rudder of your tongue can sail right into the storms of life and go the opposite direction.  You don't have to be carried away by the storm.  You can use your tongue as a rudder by saying, "winds of sickness are not going to blow me off course from the Word!  I'm going right through the storm declaring that I am healed by the stripes of Jesus." Your tongue acts as a rudder and keeps you healthy in spite of the storms of life.  Just as a rudder determines the destiny of the ship, so you are determining the destiny of your life by the words you speak.  Your words are predicting your future.  James also says that your tongue is like a bit in the mouth of a horse.  A horse may want to go one way, but the bit tells the horse where to go.  The rider is in charge, because he controls the bit.  You are the rider. You control the direction of the horse.  How? Not because you are bigger and stronger than the horse, but because of a little bit.  That bit makes a horse obey you.  You see, diseases may be stronger than you, but you can control them by your words.  Your words can make cancer shrink. It can make your immune system function properly.  Your words can make your life better.  Now listen carefully: You can not say with your mouth that you are healed and prosperous, and then also say that you are sick and poor. When you do that, you have what the Native Americans call "a forked tongue," you say one thing and then you contradict yourself and say something else.  We know who else uses tactics that are usually in contradiction, trying to get us tripped up and caught in a trap. Genesis 3:1-3 1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3) But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  Look at how he presents things that are contrary to God's word.  We used to come into agreement with him by our words or actions.  But if we hold to keeping our minds stayed on the Lord, it is not even a conversation!  In the natural the forked tongue, usually found on reptiles is used to taste the air.  Their tongues are sensitive to tasting the chemicals in the air.  This skill is used to find prey, recognize family and choose mates.  So one of the animal's associated with the devil has an extra sensory skill?   Well the devil usually attack us in our senses.  Hearing the wrong thing and then we have the wrong response.  Seeing the wrong thing and having the wrong response.  Jumping to conclusions and having the wrong response.  Hum....many of these tactics rely on us and our having the wrong response.  That same wrong response that is tied to our flesh and emotions.  That is why we must die to the flesh daily!  The devil can not make you do anything, he can only present options.  Our challenge is, will we hold on to the God option?  No matter how it appears in the natural.  We all know that appearances can be altered, so that is not a good bench mark to go by.  Will you hold to God's word, even in anger, pain, confusion, or frustration!?  He never changes, He remains the same, so we can stand on His unchanging word, while holding to His unchanging hand.  If what you are about to utter is not in line with the word of God--S T O P!!!  You don't always have to stick up for yourself, God will fight your battles.  The battle that you need to focus on is, the battle within, your flesh against your spirit man.  We must remain mindful, that we will have what we say!  So if you can't say anything in line with His word, don't say anything at all!!!  No more hot then cold, yes then no all on the same issue!!!  You cannot use your tongue like that and expect positive results. James rebukes this kind of talk in, James 3:10-12 10) Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11) Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12) Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.  What does God say about it?!  Then that is your answer and you better stick to it!  That wavering and being unsure is just an open invitation for the devil to present his ridiculous options for you to try.  Cover your decree you made on yesterday.  Be Careful Not To Give Hell Permission with your tongue!
Fiveamprayer, we have got to be careful!!  The devil is listening and looking for a way into the conversation.  He is looking for a way for us to tear down our own decrees that we made yesterday.  Remember they are a boundaries that he can not pass, our decree has called angels to war on our behalf.  The devil is being pushed back and held at bay because of what we decreed.  So his plan is to get us to take down our own defenses and let him back in.  Seems ridiculous, but take a look at it--in Genesis Eve is really entertaining this out of order conversation.  Many of us have had conversations with the devil or his agents and knew that we should not continue but did any way and ended up exposed and with out protection because of our own actions or confessions.  When you know better, you do better.  God came to tell us today, not to tear down our decrees with our words, this morning.  Don't waiver and consider any other options!  Why give hell permission to invade?!  Didn't you just get them out of your territory?!  Ezra 9:12 Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.  Stop linking up with those things that are not in line with His words.  God tells the Israelites many times to totally take out the people in the land that they are to take over, do not intermarry with them nor partner with them in business.  You can not stand on His word, while being aligned with things that are against God--that is impossible!!  Joshua 5:13 13) And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?  Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?  Fiveamprayer, time for a self check, who are you walking with?  The answer to that questions is found in what are you speaking!  Life or death?!  This is so important!!!  Stop all the idle talk!  We must speak God's word only!  Get that tongue under control, truly line up with the word of God in all areas.  Now is not the time to be venerable and open to attacks!!  We have been in this for too long to give up and turn around now!  "I don't know about you, but I am gonna see this through until the end!!"  Stand on His word whether you are on the beach, in the storm, underwater--where you are stand?  This is a faith walk, because we walk by faith and not by sight.  Fiveamprayer, keep speaking God's word in that situation!  Speak crop failure over the things that you have misspoken, make that correction immediately!!  We are not of this world so we don't have the world's response.  We have God's word and God's response.  He is the one who is in control of it all, created it all--called it all into existence!  Who is higher, more knowledgeable than He?  So why look anywhere else for rescue?!  We can not speak blessings and curses from the same mouth!  We shall bless the Lord at all times, and His praises shall continually be in our mouths.  We have decreed somethings.  Don't go back and tear it all down!!    Stand on His word.  That is why it is so important for you to study and spend time in the Bible.  So that when situations come up, the word that has been written in your heart, rises up with the answer.  Behold, fiveamprayer, He is doing a new thing, shall ye not know it?!  The devil is listening closely to see where he can trip us up and get us to speak out of turn, out of order, outside of the Word.  The enemy wants us to get in doubt and to curse God and die.  Get out of those negative conversations.  Oh yeah it seems like innocent talk in that natural but that is another trick.  After the conversation is over, what kinds of thoughts are rattling around your head?  Thoughts that would normally be cast down but since you have been talking about it for some time now it doesn't seem so bad.  The devil uses the familiar to trip us up.  The new things are what we stop to stare at.  The old familiar get a pass most times and comes right on in.  How do we do that?!  The new, good, and godly thing is under scrutiny and the old, evil, wicked thing can stroll right on in?!  Friends, these things ought not be!  We have to pay attention to those around us.  We need to be surrounded by those that are looking to keep in line with the word of God.  Those that are pushing you to stand on His word and to trust God.  All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord!  Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all!  He is our Lilly of the Valley, our Alpha and Omega, the Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not want!!  This is only temporary.  Why not hold to the eternal thing that can not be diminished nor tarnished?!  Don't go back to what you came out of, not to that old mindset of stinking thinking.  Be on guard, the devil is busy trying to get back in to where he was kicked out of!  Our minds were his playground!  Hold to His word, God will deliver on all that He said.  Stand on His word, He is a keeper!  Stand on the decrees that you made on yesterday!  Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  Woe indeed!  Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.  Fiveamprayer, we are to walk and speak as children of the Light.  Stand on His word, on one accord.  No matter what it looks like, pray His word back to Him.  He hastens to His word.  Keep on declaring and decreeing.  Stop speaking your mind, speak His word!   Don't take back that decree with your own mouth.  Don't be the weapon that the devil is using against you!  Your words tearing down your own defense!?  What kind of battle would that be if the defeated became that way by their own words and actions?!  The devil is waiting for you to speak those words that will tear down and put you back where you were.  Give it all over to God, He will direct your path.  Don't waiver, speaking blessings and curses.  Don't pull down your own defenses!!  Why build up one day and tear down the next?  How much progress can you make with this plan?  Oh, is that the point?  For the progress to stop?!  Nehemiah 6:2-8 2) That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. 3) And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you? 4) Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner. 5) Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand; 6) Wherein was written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu saith it, that thou and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause thou buildest the wall, that thou mayest be their king, according to these words. 7) And thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together. 8) Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.  Why accept an invitation to speak with the enemy in the valley of Ono regarding nonsense when you have God's work to do!?  Your testimony, your confession, your walking in His word in your daily life is a benefit to some one else.  Whether you know it or not.  Don't stop your assignment to entertain silly conversations, to address accusations of the enemy that are his own imagination.  Stay on course and stay standing on the word.  Fiveamprayer, don't lose the battle with your mouth!  Praise Him!  He is worthy of all of the praise!  God inhabits the praises of His people.  Hold on to this one, decree a thing, and God will establish it.  In your marriage, finances, health--what did God say about it?!  Walk in that blind faith, and blind trust.  Hold on to that decree.  You are a king and your words are lawful.  Don't let the devil in with your words.  He is looking for a way back in.  He will try you in your marriages, through your children, your finances.  That invitation back in can be a frustrated statement, a whispered worry--hold on and hold out for Jehovah Jireh!  Some of us get it right today and then tomorrow, back in doubt or next week tearing down what we have build up.  It is time for believers to stop running our mouths and just saying anything!!  You don't have the word to say on that situation, be quiet.  Job 13:5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.  Stop destroying everything with your mouth!!  You don't have to say everything that comes across your mind.  Don't lose that decree.  The enemy comes in like a flood and instead of getting and standing on the standard you stand in agreement with him and get swept away in that nonsense!  The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!  Talk back to that lie, in your bank account and that foreclosure notice.  My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory, because, I am obedient to His word--I am a tither and giver to the house of God.  Read the book of Malachi and find out what to speak back to those lies when they show up!  Our God makes the crooked places straight and goes before us, ordering our steps!  Stand on your decree!  Protect yourself by giving clearance to the words that proceed out of your mouth.  No more just speaking without thinking.  Or not reviewing, if your words, line up with God's word.  The devil wants to know what you are made of?  Will you stand on God's word, no matter what it looks like?  Will your response be, thou He slays me, yet will I trust Him!  What kind of faith do you have?!  This is a Job kind of season.  Thank You God for letting us know what is going on.  What is coming out of our mouth?!  Are you really trusting in Him?  He is allowing things to be taken away, so that you will put your focus back on Him!  Tell the devil that, "he won't kill, steal or take away my decree!"  God is sending out angels because what I have spoken is aligned with His word.  Don't give hell permission, with your tongue.  Hold on to that decree!  What will you say to the storm?  "Peace be still."  Stand on His word--don't tear down your decree.  Hold to His word, walk in your God given authority!  The authority of God that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!  Yesterday, God told us that the as the seed of Abraham we are blessed and that we possess the gates of our enemies.--Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.  So our words can usher the enemy in, they can also usher him out and keep him out!!!  Possessing the gates lets us know that we have been given control over the access that the enemy has in our lives.  Will we learn and hold to speaking God's word only to keep the enemy out?!  What are you listening too?  That which enters our ears, also enters our minds.  You don't want that nonsense just sitting there waiting for the right condition to trip you up and to press you to say something in the flesh.  You know what it is like, it seems like everything is going wrong and you are at the end of your patience and you are ready to say all of those crazy things you used to say and you stop.  Why would I want to say these things that do not line up with His word?  These things that you don't want to have show up in your life, but due to habit or just hearing others say it you feel pressed to say it also.  If it is not in the Bible or in agreement with it, then don't say it.  Don't worry about what they have on CNN or the news, we are not of this world.  What did God say?  That is our credible and reliable source for information, that is not in control by anyone of this world!  God has an answer to every response that the doom and gloom sayers have.  Don't get caught up in that and begin to worry and figure out another plan--God has got this, and doesn't need any help!  So when you hear about all of this, turn to the Bible and see what God has to say about it!  Turn off CNN and turn up GOD!  Get your eyes back on God, the devil is trying to take your decree!  Read James 3 for yourself!  We lift up fiveamprayer, let them really walk in this word, not to give hell permission with our words.  Have them to stand on Your word, Lord!  God is not a man that He should lie!  Thank You Lord  for showing up suddenly, hastening to Your word.  We are still standing on complete healing for Nate`'s father and Mr. Lewis.  We lift up Mr. Brown for a speedy recovery from the surgery, he will have today.  Forgive us Lord for tearing down what we have decreed.  Forgive us Lord and teach us how to forgive others so that we are forgiven.  We also must forgive for the devil to hear our rebuke.  Do not hinder you prayers by walking in unforgivness!!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
