Thankful for His Um Um Goodness!!

We are walking in today:  Thankful for His Um Um Goodness!!

Psalm 107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.  Psalm 31:19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!  Hosea 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.  The goodness of God is not only an attribute of God, but a foundational truth every Christian should embrace.  Consider some of the reasons God's goodness is important to us:  1. The goodness of God is prominent in the opening chapters of the Bible.  Repeatedly, God pronounced everything which He created "good", Genesis 1:4, 10 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.  Genesis 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.  1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.  Come on fiveamprayer receive His goodness with Thanksgiving!   2. The goodness of God appears to be the sum total of all of God's attributes.  The goodness of God may thus be viewed as one facet of His glorious nature and character and also the overall summation of His nature and character.   Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.   3. We cannot separate what is good from God.   You cannot have goodness without God, just as you cannot have God without goodness.  God alone is good!  Psalm 16:2-3 2) O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 3) But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.  This week being thanksgiving, Thank God for His goodness and mercy!!  Yea and amen!
I don't know about you but thanksgiving 2011 looks a lot different to me!  My soul cries holy!  He is um, um good!  Like that commercial for Campbell's soup is, um, um good, but nothing compares to the goodness of our God!  The God that we serve has been better to us than we have been to ourselves.  He is the Way, Provider our Bright and Morning Star, our everything!  He has been real good in spite of ourselves.  Walk around all day today being thankful for His um, um goodness!  He keeps all of His promises, thank Him!  He is the keeper of us all, thank You, Lord!  We are thankful for this year of abundance.  We are thankful for His mercy.  We are thankful for His kindness.  We are thankful for His goodness!  Think about how God is good.  How He keeps protecting us, and bringing us out of what we are in.  Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.  As you prepare for thanksgiving dinner, rehearse in your spirit how God has been um, um good to you to bring you this far.  Think of where you were this time last year.  Think about where you were 5 years ago.  Look at the mighty and awesome work God has done in your life!!  So many people may not even recognize you, with all of the improvements God has made in your life, as you keep trusting Him and drawing closer to Him!  Thank You Lord that I am not who I used to be!!  Our God is still in control, still mighty and omnipotent!  Thank You, Lord for keeping us in Your perfect peace, as we kept our minds stayed on You.  Fiveamprayer, He has been so good to us, better than we have been to ourselves!!  Thank You, Lord for forgiving us over and over again--it is all because of Your goodness and your mercy.  Thank You for for looking at our hearts.  Thank You Lord for making a way out of no way.  Thank You for never leaving nor forsaking us!  He has been good!  So good to us!  Hallelujah!  We lift up fiveamprayer, let them have a mindset of thanksgiving, this week.  Thank You Lord--if we had 10,000 tongues we could not thank you enough!  We thank you Lord for answering prayer requests.  We know that whatever we ask according to Your word, that we will receive.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown.  We come this morning to ask for forgiveness, to cast our sins as far as the east is from the west.  Thank You Lord for forgiving us with no condemnation.  Teach us Lord how to forgive others as You have forgiven us, that our prayers be not hindered.  Thank You God for Your goodness!! 

We seal this prayer in His precious blood:  1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Everything God made is good.  O taste and see that the Lord is good, fiveamprayer!  He is so good that His mercies endure to all generations!  Don't worry about that sweet potato pie, taste and see that the Lord is um, um good!  It is because of His goodness that He keeps us in spite of ourselves!  1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.  If we had 10,000 tongues, could not thank You enough!!  We should have been dead, sleeping in our graves, but God saw it differently!  Thank You Lord, for giving us another day!  Another day of Your mercy and grace!  Hallelujah!  Thank You God!!  Things are looking much, much better!  God is sending us the latter rain!  We are in a closer relationship with God, we are receiving His living water--that we will thirst no more!  Instead of focusing on your shopping list, focus on the goodness of the Lord!!  From Genesis to Revelations, He keeps showing up, loving us, protecting us and caring for us!  In Genesis 2:18 He said, And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.  Thank You Lord for Your goodness and Your mercy!  Taste and see that the Lord is good!  We ought to thank Him like never before!!  We are still here!  We are still alive to give Him glory!  He has been so good!  Thank You God for your goodness!  Thank You, in the name of Jesus!  For all of the goodness that God has shown us, we could not tell it all!  He just keeps on blessing me--every time I turn around there is favor and manna pouring down.  A word that is right on time, a word fitly spoken into our situations!  We shall reap the harvest if we faint not!  He has already overcome as Jesus tells us in, John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.  When I think about all the goodness of the Lord, my soul cries holy!  My good days out weigh my bad days, thank You Lord!  When I think about where the Lord has brought me from!!  He has brought me from a mighty long way!!   How He saved my soul and called me beloved.  Waking up to His brand new mercies and grace everyday.  He has been so good!  Um, um good!  He gets gooder and gooder.  Just take some time out and think about the goodness of the Lord!  He is our healer, provider, friend, mother to the mother-less, father to the father-less, our sister, our brother--He is our everything!!!  Abundance is God's will for me and I will not settle for anything less!  God named this season, abundance.  He gave us the bailout plan that He put His signature on.  Gave us the weapons of mass destruction to take out the enemy.  God has equipped us to take that new territory!!   He shows up every morning with a new word.  An on time word.  He is the God of the encore, He said that if He did it once, He can do it again.  Think about the goodness of the Lord. We have seen marriages reconciled on this line, what God has put together, let no man put asunder!  My soul cries holy!!  Think about it!!  Hallelujah!!  Give Him honor and glory!  No man gets the praise it all goes to You!!  We give You all the glory, Lord!  Be thankful for the Bible which tells us how good God is.  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Thank You, Lord for Your thoughts towards us, thoughts of peace!  Thank You Jesus!  Thank You Lord!  Fiveamprayer, we have so much to be thankful for!  How He keeps covering our children, providing for us, taking away any cause for doubt or fear.  Thank You God for keeping us--if not we would have went crazy.  Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  Everything that He has promised will come to pass.  He has been so good to us--so good there is not time enough to tell it all!  Thank You Lord, for fiveamprayer, we look to the hills which comes our help, our help comes from the Lord!  There is power in agreement--Psalm 133:1-3 1) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2) It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3) As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.  His word says to seek Him first the kingdom of God and all of His righteousness and all of these things shall be added unto you.  We get up at 5am seeking a word from the Lord to walk in for the day!  Thank You Lord for showing up right on time!!  Thank You for this word, abundance.  Thank You for the new!  Hallelujah!  Glory to His name!  Um, um good!  Our God is just like that!  Think on this all day today!  Stay in a position of thanksgiving!  Don't talk about what you don't have!  Being on God's side you have more than you will ever need!!  Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.  So there is no way that God is not able to provide for us!?  The owner and creator of the whole world, who is in re-possession of those that were lost and celebrating those who have returned.  Thank You God for who You are!  No one else can do what You have done and continue to do!  Walk in this one all day.  Be thankful--we have so much to be thankful for!  Thank You Lord!!  Have a blessed day!
