What Then, Shall We Say To These Things??

Romans 8:28-31; Matthew 10:34-35; Psalm 30:5; John 10:10; Genesis 1:3; Joel 3:10; Nehemiah 8:10; 1 Samuel 30:6; 1 Chronicles 4:10

We are walking in today:  What Then, Shall We Say To These Things??

Romans 8:28-31 28) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30) Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  When a person becomes a Christian and they are striving to do the very best that they can to live the kind of life that the Lord wants them to, sooner or later they learn that they are going to be confronted with difficulties and challenges that are unique to being a child of God.  And, indeed, there are burdens that we have to bear; things that, if we had never become Christians, we would never have to endure.  We may experience the loss of friends just because we want to be be pure.  We want to live a life of purity and righteousness which is acceptable to the Lord; we want to maintain our integrity as children of God.  And sometimes what happens is that the people who we used to associate with don't have those kinds of values, they don't share our mindset.  So consequently, they have the tendency to no longer want to have anything to do with us.  It could be the emotional pains that come from divisions that arise within the family unit.  Matthew 10:34-35 34) Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.  35) For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  Jesus spoke about that when He had revealed the truth that He did not come to bring peace on earth, but instead He brought a sword.  He plainly stated that there would be division among family members, and many times that is what happens to us. And all of us can relate to the inward struggle that we have to go through in this life--the fact that there are things that tempt us, and sometimes we give in to temptation.  And then what happens is that we feel absolutely horrible (as we should) for betraying our heavenly Father.  Every Christian goes through that sooner or later.  Can you relate to any of these things that I have mentioned?  Do these kinds of things make it difficult sometimes to be a child of God and to live the way which the LORD wants us to live?  They certainly do. When these things happen to us, what actually is occurring is a severe test of our faith.  And these challenges and difficulties in life are going to either make us or break us.  As far as our relationship with God is concerned, through His Word, God has revealed many things that will help us to pass these test of faith.  Perhaps the most simplest and fundamental help is the realization that God is on our side--the truth that we are His children and He is our Father reminds us that He is always standing there with us.  These "things" that Paul is talking about are the things that he had just enumerated: God's foreknowledge, and the predestination (the fact that God had predestined how salvation and reconciliation would be accomplished for each soul that obeys and abides in the words of His son), and the fact that we have been called, and we have been justified, and glorified! Paul emphatically asks "What are we going to say to these things??  If God is for us, who can be against us?  Yea and Amen!
What then can we say to these things?  To the test, trials and tribulations in your life.  The things that are coming against your marriage, finances and in your home.  The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  That the Lord shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory.  Things will keep coming against you.  We can respond with His word--Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.  We must lay aside every weight that so easily besets us.  Cast your cares on the Lord, He cares for you.  What then can we say..If God be for us, who can stand against us?!  The enemy comes to disguise your season.  No weapon formed against us shall prosper.  What then can we say--John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  Jesus came to shed light upon the world.  Fiveamprayer, walk in the light of Truth.  He can open a door that no man can shut and shut a door that no man can open.  He is pouring out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive!!  Speak His word.  This really has to get down on the inside of each of us.  Don't let the world come into your situation!  You take the situation to the Word!  Those in authority are the ones who have the issues taken to them for they will judge rightly.  We serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords, there is no one higher than Him!!  Speak what He spoke about your situation!  We are to walk by faith and not by sight.  You are a child of God, He is watching over you day and night.  The troubles in your home, marriages and finances, what then will you say?  God's word or your word.  We are to trust in Him, if God be for us, what can stand against us?  The enemy wants to take you out, disrupt your peace.  What is the thing?  Let it go and turn it over to God.  Are you speaking death in and to your situation?  We are to pray without ceasing.  Call on God late in the midnight hour, not your best friend.  Our Father, which art in heaven.  We must have in our hearts, "Thy will be done, not ours."  So many things are coming against us, it doesn't matter!  God is for us!  He is the way, the truth and the life.  All things are working for our good.  What have you been saying?!  The enemy was exposed on yesterday.  "Devil, God is on my side!  He is walking with me and I trust what He said.  He helped my unbelief!"  What then can you say to these things?  Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  So as we see our Father do, so we do likewise. Let there be peace in my home and marriage.  What then shall we say to these things--let there be peace on my job.  He gave us the power of life and death in our words.  Let there be joy, unspeakable!  Let there be peace that surpasses all understanding!  What have you been saying, fiveamprayer?!  Yesterday God wanted us to speak His word back to our situations.  We can stand on and say, If God be for me, who or what can stand against me!  Joel 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.  Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.  "What can stand against me in 2011?!  The Lord said this is my year of abundance!"  Let nothing separate you from the love of God!  That thing that comes against us daily.  What then shall we say about this?  God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and sound mind.  Sometimes you have to encourage yourself.  In scripture, David give us the perfect example of what to do when really pressed and under a lot of pressure--1 Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.  The joy of the Lord is my strength!  I can do all things, through Christ which strengthens me!  This week has been a self-check, God has exposed the enemy and has us to walk in all truth, to be able to walk this one out.  This morning Paul has a question, what then shall we say about these things?  The answer, God is for us, who can stand against us!  No matter what the bank account says.  In spite of the doctor's report.  All things work together for the good of them that love the Lord.  He already knew that we would be here in this place, that we are in.  Hallelujah God!  Glory to Your name!  Thank You Lord.  These things keep coming up over and over again.  You are on our side!  We love you Lord for Your peaceful rest, this morning.  We lift up fiveamprayer, what then shall we say?  Drop into their spirits Lord, "God is for us, who can stand against us?"  Forgive us Lord for letting the things take us over.  Thank You for forgiving us and casting our sins into the sea, remembered no more.  Teach us how to forgive so that we are forgiven.  Also that we are not hindered in rebuking satan.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood:
1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Welcome to the overflow...
Jabez knew how to call on the God of Israel.  He knew what to say in his life--bless me indeed!  Any way that you wanna bless me Lord, bless me!  What shall we say about these things?  Hallelujah!  Glory to His name!  He is on our side!  We can stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.  Keep holding on to His word and unchanging hand.  Fiveamprayer, God is for you!  Walk in this word today!  The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, He came that we would have life more abundantly.  If God be for me, what can stand against me?  Read the scriptures for yourself today.  Visit us on facebook.  Have a blessed day!
