I Have Laid Down My Isaac.

Genesis 22:2-3, 7-8, 10, 16; Hebrews 12:1-3; Luke 5:3-7

We are walking in today:  I Have Laid Down My Isaac.

Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.  It is well, we have laid down our Isaac's in our lives.  Look at the woman who's son had died and it took her faith in God to raise him from the dead.  Abraham laid down Isaac by faith.  Fiveamprayer we must lay down Isaac--have faith in God  What is the Isaac in your life?  Your marriage, singleness, finances, job ect.  Lay down your Isaac.  Genesis 22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.  Lay down your Isaac.  It is well.  Genesis 22:7-8 7) And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8) And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.  Lay down your Isaac.  Prepare yourself to truly walk by faith!  Genesis 22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.  Lay down your Isaac and trust God.  Genesis 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son.  The blessing is in laying down the Isaac in your life!!
Oh you gotta come on this morning and give God some glory!  You better get up this morning and give God some praise!  I have laid down my Isaac!!  I don't know about you, but that is why it is well--holding on to your mustard seed faith and laying down our Isaac.  We walk by faith and not by sight.  Trusting in and leaning on God in our marriages, singleness, children and jobs, it is well!  God wants to know if you believe Him.  Will you give Him your Isaac, give Him the precious for His sake?  We choose to surrender and submit it all to Him.  We have so many issues--we lay them down at Your feet Lord.  Fiveamprayer, can you walk it out?  Can you hold on and walk in obedience?  We are not to lean to our own understanding--trust God!  Depend on Him only, acknowledging only Him.  We come to lay down our Isaac--all this is possible, trust and believe.  What are you holding on to that God has said to lay down?!  God we come to You today to lay down the Isaac's in our life.  He will bring us out--all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.  Lay down the Isaac.  What is it that keeps bugging you, keeps you up at night?  You can't fix it, trust God.  Who has Isaac's on this line?  Time to lay them down and trust God.  Choose to lay them down in your life.  Fiveamprayer we have been instructed here in Hebrews 12:1-3 1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  We must be free of the other things to be able to focus on what He has for us to do.  Otherwise you will be weary and not able to continue in this fight.  Any athlete knows that they must train and practice, there is also point of rest to renew.  Laying down the Isaac in our lives, frees us up to walk in more obedience and exercise more faith in God.  In which turn God has His own response, showing up because our faith and actions are calling to Him.  Not getting caught up in your own intellect but trusting in the intellect of the Almighty!  Basically Abraham, told Isaac it is well, when his son inquired about a sacrifice.  He went up to the mountain with total trust that God is in control and that He will provide whatever is needed.  God is looking to show Himself mighty in our lives but can He trust you?!  Will you give Him all of the glory?  Give Him all of the praise?  Continue to die daily to the flesh and seek more and more of Him?  To receive that kind of access and reward, we must be tried.  Otherwise we could be put into a dangerous situation--out of agreement with God.  Out of line with His word, even so out of line that we must be refined.   That is why months ago were put on the alter, to burn up all of those fleshly ways and thoughts.  We are to look to His ways and thoughts.  Especially when we don't understand them all, we can trust in He who paid our ransom and continues to teach us the good and right way.  Our trust is not misplaced, it is in He who is able to give us more than we could ask or think.  When all hell is breaking loose, He is in the midst.  Do we see Him?  Are we still trusting Him?  Holding on to His word--it is well?  This is not something to just consider and not do.  This is a call to action to really trust God and let it go.  Set it down!!  You are not surrendering your Isaac over to some one who is not able to care for it.  The question is, will you let it out of your hand and believe that God has it all in His control?  Not going back to pick it up, not trying to give God tips on what to do.  Really letting it go and walking away, not looking back?!  It takes faith to do that.  That is why our example today is Abraham, the father of faith and we are his seed.  God came to tell us this week that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.  Will you surrender and let God have His way.  We had asked Him to bless us indeed, any way You see fit God.  The same goes for when we surrender.  We trust You indeed, we know that You are well able to handle this!  We have placed our Isaac in good hands.  Then look at what happens next, God provides a ram in the bush, our surrendering to God does not have us walking away empty handed.  We will leave with more revelation of who He is.  We will walk away with a testimony of trust in God.  We are encouraged that God is real and true!  Thank You God.  God doesn't have us do something in obedience and we walk away empty.  Luke 5:3-7 3) And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4) Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5) And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6) And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7) And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.  Look at Simon's response when he sees that God is blessing him with a overflow, he calls to others to receive as well.  Will you share the goodness of the Lord with others?  Will you give opportunity for God's glory to shine on others when He is blessing you?!  That is a part of what the refining does, removes that fleshly mind that would not be obedient to God in the first place nor share the blessings once received.  He is able to do more than we could ask or think!  When all hell is breaking loose, He is in the midst.  Think about that--keep walking in His word, speaking His word, meditating on His word.  It took faith to walk as Abraham, he is the father of faith and we are his seed.  We have His strength in our weakness!  Stop walking in disbelief.  Lord help our unbelief!  We are not gonna try to fix it any more, we turn it all over to You.  We have to walk this out by faith.  God is coming by with a word, it is well, lay down your Isaac.  Lay it down at His feet.  Set it at His feet and walk away.  He is God--He doesn't need any help.  The load may be heavy but it is not more than you can bear.  Some of us are carrying so much that we need to lay down that Isaac.  So are you gonna trust in the Almighty?!  He is calling the faithful, those who won't give up!  Will you follow where God leads?  Father of faith, Abraham, walked up the mountain with only His son to offer up to sacrifice.  Saying God will provide.  We are to move when God instructs us to.  Be still when He says.  Hold our peace when He tells us, fiveamprayer.  It is well!  I am laying down the Isaac's in my life!  Believe it and receive it!  Thank You God!  Thank You God!!  Lay down the Isaac in your life!  Sacrifice something precious to God.  God is looking for total sacrifice!  Some times it is a sacrifice of praise, lifting up His name in the midst of your circumstances.  We are to trust in God, not man.  Trust God because Abraham said the Lord will provide.  That is why he named the place Jehovahjireh, the Lord provides.  What is it that we need to give up?  What do we surrender to Him?  What to submit to God?  Lay down your Isaac, it is well because you have laid down your Isaac.  We walk by faith and not by sight.  The joy of the Lord is my strength!  What a sacrifice!  Trust Him with that one thing.  You keep trying to fix it and God is saying, give it to Me!  Not later coming back and picking it back up.  Trust in Him, give it over to Him, stand on His word.  Don't make a vow to God and then take it back!!  Be not double minded.  We are to walk by faith and not by sight--no matter how it appears to our natural senses.  Our response is, it is well.  Fiveamprayer, be anchored in His word--steadfast and unmoveable!  We are to pray without ceasing.  We shall reap the harvest if we faint not!  We are to count it all joy. That is the one, He is looking for--praising Him continually, blessing Him at all times.  Lay down your Isaac.  You can praise Him at all times!!  Experience the miracles and His presence.  You will see, but not if you will not lay down your Isaac.  He knows it is a sacrifice.  There is victory in the sacrifice.  Lay down Isaac, operate in the spirit.  We come to life up fiveamprayer, for them to each lay down their Isaac's at Your feet.  We can have the faith of Abraham.  We come to sacrifice even ourselves on the alter.  Thank You Lord for forgiving us!  God we repent, and let Your will be done!  We can respond like Job, though He slays me, yet will I trust Him!  Someone feels like they are being slayed right now--yet will you trust Him?  Lay down your Isaac.  Take it up to the alter and lay it down.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  We are a living sacrifice!!  What would You have us to do?  We will do it, Lord.

Welcome to the overflow...

Fiveamprayer is laying down the Isaac's in our lives.  The battle was never ours it has always been the Lord's.  We walk by faith and not by sight.  We are trusting in Your word, God.  It is well.  Thank You God!  We lay it down!  It is well!  You should feel lighter, from laying down your sacrifice, your Isaac.  We have to remember that His ways are not like our ways, nor are His thoughts like our thoughts--they are higher!  Lay down your Isaac.  Walk through this weekend meditation--one of us is in trouble, God can do all things, His strength made perfect in our weakness, it is well and lay down your Isaac.  Trust Him and walk it out.  Nobody but God could put this together!! And we give God all of the praise and glory!  Hallelujah!  Thank You God! Who the Son sets free is free indeed!  When you lay down your Isaac, God moves like never before!  Have you got that mustard seed faith?!  Lay down your Isaac.  Hallelujah!  Thank You Jesus!  Obedience is better than sacrifice.  Imagine going with a different word this morning!  God will provide a ram in the bush--reconciliation in our marriages.  He is Jehovah Jireh.  He always closes out the week on a high!!  Thank You God!  Visit us on facebook and take some time to read these scriptures for yourself.  Have a blessed weekend--lay down your Isaac!
