One Of Us, Is In Trouble!

John 20:24-31; Matthew 18:19, 20; Psalm 34:19

We are walking in today:  One Of Us, Is In Trouble!

John 20:24-31 24) But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25) The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.  26) And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  27) Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.  28) And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.  29) Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. 30) And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31) But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.  Just a few moments can turn your whole life around.  One phone call, one text message, one email--can turn your whole life around.  We don't know what will happen from moment to moment.  What we are going to have to face.  Now through a turn of events, they are uncertain what to do.  Jesus, was supposed to establish a kingdom on Earth, destroy Caesar--bring him to his knees.  They were committed to Jesus.  They saw His crown but they did not see His cross.  Many of them began to question in their minds--have I given up my career for nothing?  These were the 12 men that had given up their careers, family, friends--had taken risks of contradictions and controversies.   They were sure of Him, He was gonna set up a government that they were debating who was going to sit on His left or His right.  But when He went to the cross--no one wanted to sit at His left or His right.  No, no, not this time.  The pressure had mounted to a great degree, they all of a sudden--the lips that used to praise Him, began to speak against Him.  Even the best of them--the worst began to come out, under pressure.  Everything was going bad!  Even Peter, the one who cut off the guards ear and walked on water with Jesus, began to curse Him.  Judas had hung, himself with his feat dangling, so offended by his betrayal of Jesus, he could not longer stand himself.  They had shut themselves behind closed doors.  And they were wondering what to do.  Where do we go now?  We followed this man, a man that did not even have enough to pay for His own funeral.  He had to borrow a grave.  That should have told them something.  But under pressure, you don get revelation--when you are in a negative disposition.  He had borrowed a grave.  They wrapped His body in spices and put the stone in from of the grave.  They are now locked in a room, like a boardroom meeting.  They are  asking themselves where do we go from here?  All of a sudden, rumors have broken out that Jesus has risen from the dead.  But it is hard to believe again when you hope's have been dashed  against the rocks.  It is hard to believe, whether you are talking about your faith or your marriage.  Some times you can go through some stuff that is so bad that you don't want to hear the good news because you don't wanna go back through the cycle of disappointment.  Rather than risk the fatigue of your faith, you choose to rather not seize any belief that you have.  So they were shut up in a room.  The women had come to the place where Jesus lay, brought back a report that Jesus had risen from the grave.  John got to the grave before Peter to see, Jesus, had risen from the grave!  But understand, they had not seen Him resurrected from the dead.  There were rumors that the stone was rolled a way and the body stolen.  When we step into this text we step into that boardroom of a fragmented, fearful, fragile--disciples.  Things were really falling apart, before you could fix this, that happened.  It was not going well at all.  They were trying to hold it together.  Have you ever tried to hold it together?!  Peter did not have the authority that he used to have because he denied Jesus three times.  He was so tired that said, I'm going fishing.  I want to escape. Through all of this, here comes Jesus!  I want to take this time to thank Jesus for showing up!  Even when we don't have it all together.  Even when our faith is not there.  Even when we are not as polished as we should be.  Even when we don't have it all together.  Won't He come see about you, fiveamprayer!!!  I knew that He would come to the place of the praying people, fasting people, holy people--but here comes Jesus, for the cussing people, the worried people, the upset people.  Jesus!  And you can't beat Jesus for a grand entrance.  Whether it is walking on water or coming in through a closed door.  See the door was locked and Jesus appeared!!  Jesus is here, right now.  Don't you worry, I am talking about, that, 'Lazarus, come forth', Jesus.  He walked in that door saying peace be unto you.  They thought He was a ghost.  Even believers did not believe.  They were amazed because here comes, Jesus, that they did not know--through the resurrection.  He was spirit and yet human.  Grace and truth.  They had the benefit of seeing Jesus.  Because Jesus was doing something that had never been done before.  Jesus will show Himself to you!  He is coming to let you know that , He is here.  But Thomas the one of the 12 was not there the first time.  Thomas has gotten a bad wrap.  They call him, doubting Thomas.  When others thought that Jesus was a ghost.  So it wasn't just Thomas that didn't believe.  It was also the other the 12.  Isn't it funny how people can judge you, forgetting where they have come from.  While remembering where you are at?  One of us is in trouble.  I wish we could go back to the day, when someone was not in church, we would go to their house and check on them.  Ask them where they have been and to tell them that we missed you today at church.  See, Thomas was the first of the 12 to say, if my Lord is gonna die, I will die with Him.  Jesus, stepped into the room and one was missing.  Thomas was a good man in a bad situation.  The disciples understood the of 12.  It is a set number.   First look at it, we are living in 2012.  12 is the number of government.  Not just in the new but the old testaments as well.  God was not satisfied with Abraham having one son, nor Isaac having two.  He was only happy when Jacob had 12.  Out of those twelve sons, came the tribe of Israel.  It was when the number 12 came--when they went from family to a nation.  Which became a nation of people forming a government.  This number, 12 is duplicated when Jesus chooses 12 disciples.  Things are more powerful in a set.  They understood the power of agreement.  Some blessings you can't get individually.  The scripture says, that if any two standing touching and agreeing, asking in His name that the Father will give it to us!  Power in the set --now one of us is in trouble!  I'm not gonna get my blessing, without you.  I can't get by blessing without you.  I can't get my breakthrough, without you.  One of us is in trouble.  But, we are we coming out--together!  I'm not gonna get my blessings and not see you get yours as well!  Tell somebody, I got to get you out of this!!  I won't stop until you get your breakthrough--when you get loose, I'll get loose!  We are praying that the Lord save the unsaved husband, the unsaved wife, the unsaved child, the crack head, every twisted mind.  One of us is in trouble!!  Thomas was always there!  He showed up, a showed Himself to a partial set.  Everything goes better when you can see and talk to the Lord!  Jesus came back for a encore--Thomas wasn't there!  Ask God to do an encore for you.  The Lord will show up where you are:  home, church, work or car--tell every demon, "that Jesus is here!"  He will not stop till you get your breakthrough!  He will keep coming , over and over again!  The Lord will come back, just to bless you!
I don't know about you but one of us is in trouble!  Jesus will show up mighty!  He will show up over and over again!  In our finances, marriages, and children--one of us is in trouble.  Fiveamprayer, He is our way out of no way!  We serve a Savior that got up on the third day.  Someone got up this morning without peace, we know that He keeps us in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him!  That is how we keep our peace, with our eyes on the Lord!  One of us is in trouble.  God is able to reconcile marriages, look to Him--He will show up!  God is coming with breakthrough, healing and deliverance.  There are many of us that are waiting, praying and fasting, one of us is in trouble.  Cover our children, we are calling on the name of Jesus!  He will show up with blessings, mercy and favor.  We are trying to hold on--He came back to show Himself to Thomas.  He went to hell and took back the keys.  Hallelujah!  Glory to His name!  One of us is in trouble!  Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heavenWe come together to bind up the enemy and loose joy.  We bind up every attack of the enemy and loose the glory of the Lord.  Lord, pour out Your Spirit on to all flesh.  One of us is in trouble.  There is someone who does not know which way to turn.  They are looking for a doctor in the sick room and and a lawyer in the courtroom.  God show up mighty in that situation!!  One of us is in trouble!  We are to pray without ceasing, to not be weary in well doing.  We come together this morning to exalt the Lord.  Give Him glory!  Give Him praise!  Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.  Lord, we are asking for a encore, to show up suddenly, for You to hasten to Your word to perform it.  Thank You Lord, for being a healer and a way out of no way.  It is He that goes before us, fiveamprayer.    He that is full of grace and mercy, He is our Shepherd and we shall not want!  One of us is in trouble.  Hallelujah God!  It's me, it's me oh Lord standing in the need of prayer!  This is a prayer circle which has no beginning and no end.  We stand on one accord.  Only You can do it Lord.  We are looking to the Greater One that is on the inside of us!  One of us is in loose until you get loose!  I can't get blessed until you get blessed!  I can't get out, till you get out!  One can chase a thousand, but two can chase ten-thousand!!  Look at the power of agreement!!  Let us come together to pray and stand together on His holy word!  One of us is in trouble.  By Your stripes we were healed!  Hallelujah!!  He is a healer!!  Thank You God!  We lift up For His Glory, one of us is in trouble.  We are the body of Christ!  We lift up Life by Design, one of us is in trouble.  Stop by Lord this morning.  Rising Star and King Baptist, one of us is in touch her body, one of us is in trouble.  Hallelujah!  God said He will come come by and do an encore, don't worry or fear--be of good courage.  Be not weary in well doing--Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.  Our God delivers!  Look at Thomas, many call him doubting Thomas.  The Lord came back for him, and the Lord is coming for each of us!  We are to believe that He will not leave nor forsake us!  The Holy Spirit is resting on this line.  Get into a quiet place and give God thanks.  Ask Him to cover, heal and deliver you.  One of us is in trouble.  We lift up prayer requests, we lift up Sherry Duke, for the loss of her second cousin.  We ask You, Lord to cover all bereaving families, send them the Comforter.  We come to ask for Your forgiveness.   Lord we come to repent, so that You can heal our land.  Thank You forgiving us and teach us to forgive like You.  We lift up our president, have him to seek Your face.  Lord we ask that You cover his wife and children.  Have his wife to cover him in prayer--let her be a praying wife.  Glory to Your name!  Hallelujah!  Jesus has stopped by, somebody has been set free.  Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  Everything is gonna be alright!  Hallelujah!  There is power in agreement--we come standing on one accord.  Stop by Jesus, show up this morning!!  Thank You God!  Thank You Holy Spirit!  Have Your way God!  Thank You God!  One of us is in trouble.  We will look to the hills for our help, our help comes from the Lord!  One of us is in
