John 14:26-31
We are walking in today: You Have An Advocate.
John 14:26-31 26) But
the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my
name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27)
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it
be afraid. 28) Ye have heard how I
said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye
would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is
greater than I. 29) And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 30) Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. 31)
But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father
gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Advocate is defined to speak, plea or argue in your favor. The Holy
Spirit, is our Advocate. Sometimes you can just hold your peace because
the Holy Spirit is speaking, pleading and arguing in your favor. Don't
be afraid, our Advocate did not give us the spirit of fear, but of
love, power and sound mind. The Holy Spirit desire and purpose is to
help you--not to hinder you. Just as parents, we protect our
children--our Father through His Son, by the Holy Spirit protects us! I
am leaving you with a gift. Peace of mind and peace of heart--that He
would return. Jesus reassured them that the Holy Spirit would come to
comfort, teach and guide them. Two things that Christ here confronts
His disciples with: the first, that they should be under the tuition of
His Spirit. In verse 25 and 26 where we may observe the reflection
that Christ would have them upon the instruction, He had given them.
These things have I spoken, unto you. Referring to all of the good
lessons that He had taught them. Since they had entered themselves into
His school. Being yet, present with you these times that what He had
said, He did not retract, nor un-say, but rectified it. So that they
could understand and be able to stand on it. What He had spoken and
would abide by it. That He would prove opportunity of His bodily
presence with them, to the utmost. As long as I have been yet present
with them. You know I have lost no time. Note when our teachers are
about to remove from us, we should call to mind what they have
spoken--being yet present with us. The encouragement given them to
expect that another teacher and that Christ would find a way of speaking
to them after His departure from them. In verse 26, He had told them
before that the Father would give them this other Comforter. And here
He returns to speak of it again. For as promised to the Messiah, had
then so the promise of the Spirit. Now with consolidation of
Israel--the Spirit comes in , His name as resident in His absence, to
carry on His undertaking and to work the things of His second coming.
Hence He is called the Spirit of Christ--for He pleads His cause and
does His work. He shall teach you all things as a spirit of wisdom and
revelation. Christ was a teacher to His disciples. If He lead them,
now that they have made so little proficiency--what would become of
them!? Why, the Spirit shall lead them. Shall be their standing
tutor. He shall teach them all things necessary for them either to
learn themselves or to teach others. Therefore the Spirit promised to
enable them, truly to relate and record what Christ said unto them. And
to all the saints of the Spirit of grace is given to a remembrance to
Him by faith and prayer. We should commit the keeping of what we hear
and know. We have an Advocate. He that has ears, let him hear what the
Spirit of the Lord is says, in the name of Jesus! Fiveamprayer, we
have an Advocate!
We have an advocate! When Jesus left us to return to the Father, He
left us with the Advocate--God promised that we would never be forsaken
nor left alone! The Holy Spirit guides us, fiveamprayer we are not by
ourselves! Thank You Lord!! Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father
and the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, our Advocate, He is a very
present help in a time of trouble! God is more than able to do it! We
can put all of our trust in Him! That is why we are not out of
control--we have an Advocate, which is the Holy Spirit! As John 14:26
says, He teaches us all things and brings all things to remembrance. We
have a guide that leads us to all truth! We can ask for wisdom of His
word. We can tell the enemy that no weapon that is formed against us
shall prosper. We are walking in the Spirit. Exposure to the Son, to
cast a Peter-like shadow. When you need help call on the Holy Spirit,
call on Jesus! He resides on the inside of us! That is why we don't
have to have the spirit of fear but of love, power and sound mind!
Thank You God for taking up residence in us!! That You would dwell on
the inside! You said, You would never leave nor forsake us!
Hallelujah! We are to just trust and believe! He is the way, the truth
and the life! It is already done, already finished! Walk in the Holy
Ghost, God given authority! It has nothing to so with you, it is all
about God!! He is leading us in our marriages and our finances. Hold
on to the Spirit! Walk by the spirit, not the flesh. We must be
spirit minded not carnal. He is pouring out His Spirit onto all flesh!
As you walk in the Spirit, He will show you the way. It is the Spirit
that teaches us what to pray. Just trust and follow His leading. Let
he who has ears to hear, let them hear! He is bringing us out in 2012.
We are looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith! We are
Holy Ghost filled and trusting out Advocate. We are to be still and see
that He is God! He told us in 2012 that we will see His glory! It is
the Lord that leads us to all truth and righteousness! Thank You Lord
for protecting and surrounding us! Jesus went to the Father, and left
us with the Holy Spirit. We can do all things through Christ, which
strengthens us! Let His Spirit rise up and lead us! Greater is He that
is in us than he that is in this world. We lift up fiveamprayer, we
have an advocate, the Holy Spirit! Who pleads, argues and speaks on our
behalf. We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown. We lift
up Shavonda's husband, Jesus You left us with Your peace, not the peace
of the world. Let that peace that surpasses all understanding rest on
him. Have her to lay aside every weight that would so easily beset
her. We know that there is nothing too hard to You! That You alone are
our keeper! We come to ask for forgiveness, we try to do things
ourselves. Forgive us Lord for getting in the way. Thank You Lord that
You forgive with no condemnation. We must not fall into the devil's
trap of guilt, keeping us bound and not walking in what God has given us
to do!! Thank You for casting our sins into the sea that they are
remembered no more. Holy Spirit teach us how to forgive as the Father
forgives. We want to walk in obedience and follow where ever You lead
us, our Advocate!
We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit: I have an advocate! The Holy Spirit!
Welcome to the overflow...
Thank You Lord,
for the Holy Spirit. It is He that teaches us all things. Guides and
leads us to all truth! Fill us with understanding, God. Thank You for a
very present help in an time of trouble. Thank You for Your peace,
hallelujah glory to Your name! We are to walk by the spirit. Exposure
to the Son, to cast a Peter-like shadow. There are blessings all around
us, fiveamprayer that is why He had us to look to the north, south,
east and west. We serve a God that is omnipresent--present
in all places at all times!! He is guiding us! You have gotta know
who your Father is! Fear not! We have an advocate! Hallelujah! Thank
You God! I have an advocate and not even worried about it. He is
covering me! We can do all things through Christ! Thank You Lord for
the Comforter! Thank You Lord for Your peace. We have got to know
right now that you have an Advocate! Walk in your God given authority!
