We are walking in today: Testimony Tuesday--From Milk To Meat, Judge According to Yahweh's Standard--The Torah
Witness ruin throughout the Bible: H4383 mikshowl a stumbling, means or occasion of stumbling, stumbling block, fall
Ezekiel 21:15; Amos 9:11; Acts 15:16
Fiveamprayer we have to move on from the mere surface of scripture and understanding of His word! There are many of us that have or had only the feel good messages from the pulpit that fed only our emotions and left our spiritual being malnourished. This has reached epidemic numbers resulting in high dissatisfaction in the church and leading to other methods to sate the emaciated spiritual body of Christ. In desperation anything that seems profitable spiritually is latched on to with no further investigation all the while a deeper study and proper understanding of the entirety of the Bible would yield bountiful nutrition and peace all stemming from His wealthy bounty. Psalm 116:7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. Do we have the discipline to read the whole Bible in a year, every year, over and over? Will we place His words in their proper context or use what we can to frame our behaviors as a lesser charge or offense? Is our study to defend ourselves or to grow closer to Him? When do we study? And when we do study, what is our purpose? Understanding and obedience? What was being dealt with in the wilderness with the children of Israel? Are we experiencing those same things today, as so many continue in the wilderness--some even refusing to leave? As with all levels of growth there comes a time that once the foundation is laid the next step is begun. Why continue to relay the same foundation? How many foundations are needed? Is this a stalling technique to draw out the time? There is an allowance for not knowing but avoiding readily available knowledge--is only to our detriment. Why continue in struggles that are resolvable by better understanding of His instructions? That we would move from what can I get from this situation to a closer relationship that can yield benefits as a secondary byproduct? Unfortunately over the years we have come to seek out a reward for our actions alone, totally divorced from a relationship. How awful would it be for married couples to only care for each other solely based on what they benefit from directly. Would those empty gestures gain meaning without a true connection? Who would want to be at the other end of that lifeless action of watching that person, only awaiting the benefit before heading on their way?
Without a deeper study and understanding of the Bible, the Davar Elohim, the word of God we are certainly missing out on many things that He has afforded for us. One of which is to self correct by judging ourselves according to His standard. This not something that is not far away--but what we are able to do with Christ Jesus the Anointed King, living on the inside of us! This is no longer solely entrusted to us to complete. He completed and walks out His principles, within us! This is like knowing all the answers to the test because the answer key is on the inside of you. We are to study to know for ourselves that we would make every effort to work with His faithfulness! That is how we are to judge what is right and good, according to the instructions that He gave--the 613 in total on Mount Sinai. This idea of the 11th commandment to not judge, is a man made thing. There is the discussion in the Bible that we are not to judge by our own personal standards. He set and is the standard! Don't question or make up your own, it is all in His word that will not return void and will stand forever more! Could it be that this idea of not judging in any form, a snare to keep all who seek other avenues and means to obtain illegally the blessings of Yahweh? This leads us back to study of His word. With a dedicated, Holy Spirit led study with like minded believers the answer will be come clear. We are not permitted to do any and everything that our flesh desires to do and still call it blessed of God. If that was the case there would not be any need for correction which was a primary function of the prophets in the Tanakh to tell the people where they were missing the mark according to the standard. This was a plea to no longer dishonor nor shame the Most High by their actions and disregard for His word. Would those same prophets have those same pleas if they entered your house of worship today?
