Torah Portion--Bo/Came Exodus 10:1-13:16; Jeremiah 46:13-28; Acts 14-18

Exodus 10:1-13:16; Jeremiah 46:13-28; Acts 14-18; Romans 6:23; 2 Timothy 2:21-26; Romans 7:15

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion--Bo/Come Exodus 10:1-13:16; Jeremiah 46:13-28; Acts 14-18

Witness jealousy throughout the Bible: H7068 qin'ah feelings of great intensity, jealousy, jealous disposition as of a husband
Deuteronomy 29:20, 32:16, 32:21; 1 Kings 14:22; Isaiah 42:13; Ezekiel 8:3, 16:38; Psalm 78:58, 79:5; Proverbs 6:34; Romans 11:11

From the plagues that we looked at in our previous Torah Portion, we find Moses and pharaoh at the end of the plagues--which are a continuance of the display of Yahweh's power.  This display was to show all the people in the land that there is no one like until Him!  This was to utterly cast down the apparent ability and power afforded to the pagan gods in the people's eyes.  This great and mighty show of His sovereignty, that would be retold all throughout the Earth for years to come.  That all who hear and many will hear of His awesome power--that in Yahweh alone can we trust!  Throughout all of these plagues the heart of pharaoh was hardened to display this power and ability that He alone has.  So that the people would turn way from the pagan gods to the only true Elohim, Yahweh.  We had in the witnesses this morning--Deuteronomy 32:16 (CJB)They roused him to jealousy with alien gods, provoked him with abominations.  Fiveamprayer, we have to know that Yahweh is jealous for His people, He has intense feelings for them.  They are not to offer His worship to any other!  We are not to place our petitions before anyone else!
This portion also has the setting of the eternal observance and the beginning of the year for the children of Israel--this is Passover or Pesach in Hebrew, that is Yahweh's appointed time. Which was given to the people to remember that by His mighty hand alone they were caused to exit the land of pharaoh.  Since this was only wrought by His hands, it was to be observed and taught to future generations less they forget what the great I AM had done for His people.  So that the people are not led away, nor seek other faulty means of deliverance and provision.  This was done to keep us from seeking out the erroneous, when He alone is true!  As the children of Israel were leaving out they were given favor from the people of Egypt and received gold, silver and clothing.  So the people all left out of Egypt in haste.  The observance of Passover was to be remembered for all time, less the people forget and seek pagan gods.  This reminder was for those who walked out of Egypt and for their future generations--for when the latter generations would ask, 'why do we do this?'  They would be taught of the greatness of Yahweh who brought the people out of the land of Egypt from the hand of pharaoh.  This yearly observance and many others throughout the year gives us reminders of who we are and who's we are.  Citizens of the greatest King, Yahweh who rules and reigns throughout the universe!  To hear more of this teaching click here.
