Hosea 7
We are walking in today: Shut The Door On Disobedience!!! Part 3
Witness disobedience throughout the Bible: G3876 hearing amiss
Psalm 89:33; Romans 5:19, 11:32
Hosea 7:16
They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful
bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue:
this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt
This third
part of shutting the door on disobedience, deals with the unchanged
heart and constant fickleness of Israel. Even under continual captivity, brought on by going another way! It was through continuous rebellion and
stubbornness not to follow Yahweh's instructions, with crocodile tears
in no real change of heart. No sooner had Israel's captivity ended. Then
they returned to the same practices of the surrounding nations again and
again.
Amos 2:4
Thus saith the LORD; For three
transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the
punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and
have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after
the which their fathers have walked
From all the nations of
mankind. No other nation acquired such attention and wealth as Yahweh's
appointed people. To teach other nations the sovereignty and oneness of
Yahweh.
Amos 3:1-2
1 Hear this word that the LORD hath
spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which
I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, 2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
Instead of teaching the other nations, the ways of the Almighty, they got caught up in the pride of life, selfishness and
ungratefulness--which continued to grow in Israel generation after generation.
Israel continued to practice self-will, selfishness, sexual perversion
and child sacrifice as well as idolatry. In spite of all the care,
knowledge and intimacy shared by Yahweh with His adorned wife.
Isaiah 5:1-2
1 Now will I sing to my well beloved a song of my beloved touching his
vineyard. My well beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted
it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and
also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth
grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
We have to be careful
because we're no different from our forefathers. There are many examples the Torah
gives about the choices Israel and Judah had made. Time and time again,
immense blessings from Yahweh. His love , protection, and His word--teaching them His ways. Yet did they and will we listen and apply that instruction to lives?
Abstaining from committing adultery, or playing the harlot with the desires of the world in plain view? Fiveamprayer, anything less than the kingdom of Yahweh's principles is a Babylonian system! Shutting the door on disobedience with His word--Deuteronomy 28 To hear this again click here.
