Shut The Door On Strongholds

Deuteronomy 7

We are walking in today:  Shut The Door On Strongholds

Deuteronomy 7:2-6
2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: 3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. 4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. 5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. 6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

You would think that you are not participating in occult practices. Yet until the root or origin of that thing is revealed you see what has been operating in your life.  Thank You, Yahweh for coming to shine the light on these practices that we will cease to incorporate with our belief in Him. Now walking in a fuller understanding of what His instructions means. Thou shalt not have any other gods before me.

Exodus 20:3-6
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments

For instance, back in the day they had those mood ring or moon ring, whatever you want to call it. While it appears to be a ring that tells your mood or emotions but is actually occultic in nature. A ring that dictates your mood--'oh ring how do I feel today?'  It is these subtle seemingly innocent items that can entrap us into a downfall.  Only with His understanding of the commandments do we find the error that leads to other paths away from righteousness. Yet He teaches and illuminates His way to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Thankful for this revelation, that we can cease from these objects and occultic practices because of the power connected to demonic influences.

Exodus 7:11-12
11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

We justify what is an image of the occult. While we spiritualize things and practices handed down from our parents and family members not realizing that the mental, physical and spiritual ailments and operate in our families, due to these practices. This can be carried by objects used to house demonic influences. Such as rings, jewelry, and objects that may be pass on to us. Including toys, dolls, and the list goes on. Urns, figurines, pictures of dead family members with candles lit engrossed with our prayers every day all day. Those are not mentioned in the practices of the teaching and instructions of the word of Yahweh. They are pagan in nature and are demonic.

And we wonder why sickness of all kinds remain in our home? Family members full of anger hatred and distrust for each other. Due to strongholds and influences by demonically connected objects--Yahweh calls these practices handed down an abomination.

Yahweh promises to those who continue to follow after things he has not ordained, to turn them over to these influences to the third and fourth generation. That even without the later generations being taught, they will still be influenced to walk in the pagan ways of their previous generation.  This is so important and a stragetic plan to continue this practices of disobedience to His instruction that the future generations would be held in those curses.  Yet we can repent and return back to His light and life giving word and life!  Causing the generations to walk in the blessings that they will be drawn to the life giving principles set forth from the beginning.

His Torah is truly teaching us the false practices, that we may have participated in or still observe today. While some done in ignorance and others with blatant mixing of pagan practices making the holy profane.
