30 Day Tongue Fast, The Self-Depreciating Tongue Day 8

Exodus 4

We are walking in today:  30 Day Tongue Fast, The Self-Depreciating Tongue Day 8

Teaching from the book:  30 Days to Taming Your Tongue by Deborah Smith Pegues.

Witness despise throughout the Bible:  H7043 qalal spelled qof, lamed, lamed--to be slight, be swift, be trifling, be of little account, be light, despise

Nehemiah 4:4  Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:

Torah:  Genesis 16:4
Prophets:   1 Samuel 2:30, 18:23; 2 Samuel 19:43; Isaiah 49:6; Ezekiel 8:17
Writings:  1 Kings 16:31;  2 Kings 3:18, 20:10

Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

Exodus 4:10  And Moses said unto the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore nor since Thou hast spoken unto Thy servant; but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.”

Self depreciation, the trick of HaSatan delusive scheme, to have one even sold out to the Most High second guess the words already spoken over one’s life from before the foundations of this earth! Yet somehow doubt and human inadequacy places a idiotic stronghold over the promises of the Most High. Even Moses who lead the great exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, succumbed to doubt and lack of speech for the task of confronting Pharaoh as commanded from the Most High.
I figure even if you don’t have the means--if the God who created the very breath you breathe appears to you and tells you to confront. What more do you need?!  But all have come short to the glory of The Most High, yet we lean not to our own understanding. But trust in the Lord with all our hearts.

Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding; 6 in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

Romans 3:22-24 22 even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ, unto all and upon all those who believe. For there is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Self-deprecation displeases God, when Moses complained that he was inadequate to lead the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage because of his speech impediment, God became upset.

Exodus 4:11-12 The LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say”.

Today's Affirmation:   God is able to make all grace abound toward me; so that I always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
