We are walking in today:  Ask God For Insight!

Daniel 9:3-23 (ESV) 3) Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. 4) I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, “O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5) we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. 6) We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7) To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you. 8) To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you. 9) To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him 10) and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. 11) All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. And the curse and oath that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him. 12) He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled us, by bringing upon us a great calamity. For under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem. 13) As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the Lord our God, turning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. 14) Therefore the Lord has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and we have not obeyed his voice. 15) And now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have made a name for yourself, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly. 16) “O Lord, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill, because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a byword among all who are around us. 17) Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate. 18) O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. 19) O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.” 20) While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my plea before the Lord my God for the holy hill of my God, 21) while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the first, came to me in swift flight at the time of the evening sacrifice. 22) He made me understand, speaking with me and saying, “O Daniel, I have now come out to give you insight and understanding. 23) At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out, and I have come to tell it to you, for you are greatly loved. Therefore consider the word and understand the vision.  We know we gotta see things through spiritual eyes, but we must ask God for insight.  Webster defines insight this way--apprehending the truth, the true nature of a thing, especially through intuitive understanding, penetrating mental vision or discernment.  So ask God for insight!  Through our spiritual eyes we need to ask God for insight.  Reading Daniel chapter 9, should open your eyes to the importance of prayer!  He gives us understanding and insight.   As in Daniel 8:16, points to Daniel 9:2, Gabriel speaks of the design and circumstances of his coming.  The consequences of Daniel's prayer in the morning.  ‘I have come from the throne of God to instruct thee in knowledge…’ this is more particularly declared in Daniel 9:23 at the beginning of Daniel's prayer, a word,  a communication from God came forth which he brought to him.  Not a commandment to Gabriel but a particular word from God to Daniel.  Which was announced in Daniel 9:24-27,  ‘For thou art a man greatly beloved’.  Look what happens when you seek God early in the morning.  The going forth of God's word immediately came at the beginning of Daniel's prayer!  This revelation was more over not communicated to him in a vision but while in a state of natural consciousness (Daniel 9:20-29).  An answer was immediately sent to Daniel's prayer.  It was very memorable response.  When we pray, with fervency for that which God has promised, we may by faith take the promise as an immediate answer to the prayer.  For He is faithful who has promised!  Daniel had far greater and more glorious redemption discoveries for him--while God would work out His plans for church in the latter days.  We get insight through prayer.  We have not, because we ask not.  Ask God for insight and you will receive, so much more!  Get ready for the double--insight and understanding!
I am talking about God's word is true!  Once you begin to pray, before you even finish--He is sending His angels to answer.  The double, insight and understanding is what God has already sent us!  Ask Him for wisdom--James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  We come asking for insight, deeper revelation, more and more of His word.  We gain insight through prayer, which is communication with God.  He will answer suddenly and quickly--an answer is on its way even if you may have to wait for it to manifest, His word fails not!  He has sent a word that will penetrate our minds--that we see through to the deeper things of God.  That we would speak, stand, and trust His word.  Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.  He gives us insight, that no matter what is going on, we will cry out to Him!  He is the only one who is able and willing to fix it.  That we can seek Him out not because we have been obedient, but due to our disobedience only His mercy will suffice!  2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  We get His attention by praying.  That we would pray without ceasing; that we would pray and fast; that some only come out by prayer and fasting.  Fiveamprayer, are you seeking Him in prayer--that He would give you insight and understanding?!  Do you want a deeper relationship with God?  Then you have got to seek Him in prayer!  Get in His word and pray it back to Him.  Stand on His word, that His grace is sufficient.  That His truth endures to all generations.  We cry out to You, Lord,
forgive us!   Thank You Lord for harking to our cry!  That You come quickly to perform Your word.  We come asking for insight that more is revealed to us.  Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.  Fill us Lord, for we are hungry and thirsty!  We don't care about the trials that we suffer, we stand on what Job said, though He slays me, yet will I trust Him!  We want Job's kind of insight.  We want more of You, God!  Take me to the King!  We want a new revelation, a deeper relationship and more of You, Lord!  When we pick up the Bible, let us see it with spiritual eyes and with insight, that we have a greater understanding.  We know we serve the all knowing God and we need Your insight.  No more church as usual, not just looking for religion but a relationship with the Father.  That we take up Your ways and cast down our old ones.  You told us that we have not because we ask not.  Thank You Lord for teaching us how to pray by the Spirit.  Because we don't know what to pray for ourselves.  That we get up at 5am and You are already there!  A way is already made for us!  Thank You Lord!  Teach us to reflect on our day, that we see Your hand moving in our lives and in the lives of others.  Give us Your insight to see how and when we are to move, to stay in line with Your perfect plan.  That we see Your fingerprints all throughout our day that we see and know more and more of what You have to reveal to us.  Thank You Lord for preparing our steps!  Teach us to meditate on Your word, day and night.  Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  That is how we are to apply His word, fiveamprayer, by meditating on His word.  What good is it to read God's word and not apply it to your life?!  If you need healing, apply God's word--by His stripes you are already healed!  That is insight of His word.  That is understanding of His word!  As I studied more and went deeper, and looked up synonyms of meditate and found ruminate which means to bring it up, to chew it again.  That gave me insight on this scripture today, that we are to eat His word and to bring it up and chew it again.  We have to get God's word on the inside, that we would meditate on it day and night!  Ezekiel 3:1-3  1) Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. 2) So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. 3) And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetnessPsalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.  Chew on that word that God gave you, turn it over and over and keep working at it.  God is gonna give you insight on that word, that you are seeking understanding about.  We must be diligent, don't stop!  Don't just read the word and not gain insight or understanding from it.  Take some time to look up these scriptures and meditate and eat these words.  Psalm 119:99; Proverbs 1:2, 8:14; Philippians 1:9.  Another definition for insight is the power or act of seeing unto a situation.  Daniel 9:22 (NIV1984) He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.  Once again we see it is a double portion!  Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophetsFiveamprayer, ask God and He will give you insight.  We come to thank You Lord!  That You would teach us how to pray and seek Your face.  That we would pray for ourselves as well as the world.  That Daniel got a message from Gabriel because he cried out to You, Lord!  Like fiveamprayer crying out early in the morning and You would come by and answer our prayers!  Take us to the King!  We love You Lord!  Your grace and mercies are so good!  You even teach us how to pray, by Your Spirit, because on our own we don't know what we should pray for.  You are our source, our God, our King, our everything!  El Shaddai, Emmanuel, Jehovah Jireh--there is nothing that we want or need that is not found in You!  Thank You Lord for showing up with Your omnipresent peace and love!  Thank You God for answering our prayers with a rushing wind.  We are all praying for insight, and in unity You command the blessings. We stand on one accord, we know that there is power in agreement.  Thank You for sending Your answer!  We come to repent this morning for all of the disobedient things that we have done.  We only need more of You!  Everything we need is found and satisfied in You.  Thank You Lord!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  We receive it, and decree and declare--I have understanding and insight!

Welcome to the overflow...

We are going to a different level in God today!  Thank You Lord!  What a mighty God we serve!  It was nobody but, You Lord!  Thank You for Your word!  Take time out today to read chapter 9 of Daniel.  Take a look at it close, your prayers move God.  That is what He responds to.  Your prayers are asking for more and more of Him.  Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  So you have to believe, to even seek Him in prayer, otherwise why are you praying if you don't trust and believe that He can and will deliver!?  Thank You Lord for showing us how to use our faith in prayer to receive a deeper insight and understanding of You!  Bless Your holy name!  Amen!  That You show up suddenly to answer prayers!  Have a blessed day and visit us on facebook, it will encourage you!
