How Do We Test The Spirits?

We are walking in today:  How Do We Test The Spirits?

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  The Bible warns us, dear friend do not believe every spirit but to test the spirit to see whether they are from God because many false prophets have gone out into the world.  Too often we forget that we live in a spiritual war zone.  Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  The devil will try to mislead you and show himself as being the truth.  2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14) And it is no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light; 15) So it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as ministers of righteousness. [But] their end will correspond with their deeds.  Remember that deception is his only weapon.  The enemy is the father of all lies and he has no good intentions on our behalf.  John 8:44(NIV) You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  No wonder that the Apostle John encouraged us to test the spirits.  The content of his warning was false prophets.  Jesus warned us against those as well, Matthew 7:15-16(NIV) 15) “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16) By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?  If you believe in a non Biblical prophet, put the prophet to the test!  However the testing of spirits is not limited to prophets, but to anything that is spiritual.  How can you test them?  Here are a few tests that will guarantee you if those spirits are from God or not.  The first test is given by the Apostle John himself, in the context of testing the spirits in 1 John 4:2-3--this is how you can recognize the spirit of God.  Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.  But every spirit that doesn't acknowledge that Jesus is not come in the flesh is not from God, it is the spirit of the antichrist which you have heard is coming and is now already here in the world.  The first test is to make sure that the spirit acknowledges that Jesus has come into the world.  The second, test is that the Spirit of God, speaks in accordance to God's word, the Bible.  He acknowledges it's authority, John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  Amen!
Fiveamprayer, we need to know that God is calling us up higher.  They that worship Him, must worship Him in spirit and in truth!  The devil is still a liar and he wants to disguise your season.  We have to recognize these spirits that are not of God.  We were made spiritual first, God is not mocked, He sits high and looks low.  Our weapons are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds, they are not carnal.  We are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against high powers and principalities.  Fiveamprayer put on the whole armor of God, the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, wearing the shoes of the gospel of peace, holding the shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the spirit--be ready and prepared to fight this devil!  God is revealing all things unto us!  We are to have a Christ-like mind and know what you are going up against.  The devil has deception--it is his only weapon.  We are to not only watch and pray but to also guard our hearts.  When His Spirit is upon us, we can do more things!  Because of who resides on the inside of us!  Recognize the spirit, when attacks are coming against you.  It is by His Spirit, He told us that there would be a time that His Spirit will be poured out on all flesh.  It is time for you to know who you are and who's you are!  God is still alive!  Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!  When the Spirit of God is present, the devil can not reside.  Get on one accord, in unity there is commanded blessings.  Do you know how to test the spirits and seek Him?  God is not a man, that He should lie.  There are spirits that are on assignment to take you out.  The devil is still a liar!  No matter what you are faced with, God is more than able!  Forget about your carnal mind!  God is always right there, leading and guiding us.  We are to pray in the Spirit, He knows what to ask.  We lift up fiveamprayer to know how to test the spirits and to walk in their God given authority.  There is no weapon that is formed against us that shall prosper!  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown.  We lift up Carlys for Your hand to move in her financial situation.  She is holding on to You being her provider, not the money!  We lift up Amara who is having tubes placed in his ear, we stand on by Your stripes, he is already healed!  We come to ask for forgiveness and to repent for not listening to the Holy Spirit and moving when He said to be still or speaking when He said to be quiet.  Thank You God for casting our sins into the sea that they be remembered no more!  Thank You God for teaching us how to forgive others, that we are forgiven also.  Thank You for Your word--it is not by power, nor might but by His Spirit!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  Genesis 32:24-26 24) And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25) And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26) And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Hallelujah God!  We hold onto your word, steadfast and unmovable!  Show us Your glory!  We can do all things through Christ, which strengthens us!  We operate in the spirit!  Our weapons are not carnal but spiritual--mighty to the pulling down of strongholds!  We are not wrestling against flesh and blood, you gotta know who you are fighting!  Operate in the Spirit, fiveamprayer!  If you are trying to fight carnally, you will be taken out by everything!  When the Spirit of the Lord shows up, there is nothing that we can't do.  We are to pray without ceasing!  He has already made a way out for us!  When the Spirit comes upon you, you can walk in dominion and authority!  It is by His Spirit!  God put something on the inside of you a long time ago.  We have to try the spirit to see if they are of God or not.  We will know the tree by the fruit that it bears.  Thank You for showing us how to test the spirits.  He has been so good--preparing us for this fight.  We must stand in unity and recognizing the spirits.  It is not that person, it is the spirit on the person.  Fiveamprayer we are to stand on this scripture--2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  The devil is a deceiver, he will try to get you to think about all kinds of things, appealing to your carnal mind.  We know that we are to cast off our natural mind and take on the mind of Christ.  God even tells us what to think on, to feed our spiritual man.  Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  You have heard the saying you are what you eat.  How about you are what you think and say?  He creates the fruit of our lips.  You usually are already thinking about what you are going to say before it even comes out of your mouth.  Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.  There are things in the supernatural that can only be gotten by the spirit.  Ask for the Spirit of the Lord to rise up on the inside.  Especially when you are facing something that challenges your old carnal responses.  Thank You God for this restful and peaceful week in Your presence.  God wants us to see this thing in the spirit!  We are to chase this devil out!!  Come on and stand on one accord and have a mind like Christ.  You are not fighting your spouse in your marriage, you have got to know how to fight this devil!  We are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds!  Ask the Spirit of the Lord to help you!  He gives us a peace that surpasses all understanding.  Jesus us left us with the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, call on Him!  He is on the inside of you!  Walk in the spirit, look at this with spiritual eyes.  We must stop speaking carnal, things out of our mouths!!  No more wavering in the flesh or carnality.  Fiveamprayer, we have got to know how to test the spirits.  The devil is still a liar, he is the father of all lies!    We are not to be deceived, speak God's word and stand on God's word!  Thank You God!  They that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth!  Crucify your flesh today!  Pay attention, today the devil will bring all kinds of things against you.  Will you humble yourself when they come?  It is the Lord that will lift you up!  The Spirit of the Lord is our anchor for our souls!  We may rock but are not blown out of position!  Thank You Lord!  Rest in the Spirit, that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us and greater is He that is within us, than he that is in this world (Philippians 4:13, 1 John 4:4).  Those two scriptures are referring to the Spirit of the Lord.  Thank You Lord for Your Spirit and leaving us with the Comforter!  Thank You for all of the brothers and sisters on this line.  We lift them up to You.  Rest in His Spirit, there is joy and peace.  He is refreshing us in the spirit.  Breathe on us and revive us Holy Spirit!  Crucify your flesh, fiveamprayer and walk in the spirit.  Have a supernaturally blessed day!
