Sometimes God Will Take You Through The Wilderness.

 Exodus 13:17-22; Deuteronomy 8:2; Proverbs 10:22; James 4:10; Psalm 34:19; Romans 12:2

We are walking in today:
Sometimes God Will Take You Through The Wilderness.

Exodus 13:17-22 17) And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18) But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. 19) And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you. 20) And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. 21) And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22) He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.  Have you ever had a God inspired dream that didn't happen as quickly as you thought it should?  Yes you have worked at it but it seems there were many obstacles that came against you.  Finally you gave up in despair--and the dream lays dormant.  God had inspired the dream of the promised land in the heart of the Israelite people.  They dreamed of a land that flowed with milk and honey.  A land of freedom, a land where they could be free from the whips of the evil taskmasters of Egypt.  Scholars say that the journey to the promised land was only a 1-2 week journey.  However it took the children of Israel 40 years to get there.  We find in this scripture that God did not take the short route.  When God wants to take you somewhere, He may take you on the long path, instead of the short cut.  Someone might ask, why did God take the long way which caused delay in taking the children of Israel into the promised land?  This delay was designed by God for a particular reason--let's look at the 3 ways God uses delays in our lives.  God uses delays to prepare us.   The Israelites were a slave people, they were not ready for war.  God knew if they went to war they wouldn't be able to handle it.  Every dream has it's difficulty. God uses delays to get us ready for those difficult times, that we are going to face during the course of our journey.  These delays are designed to strengthen our faith and to make us stronger.  God uses delays to test us.  Deuteronomy 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.  God uses delays to see how we will respond under pressure and to test our loyalty and obedience to Him.  God uses delays to train us.  Because some times it takes longer to get Egypt our of us, then it does to get us out of Egypt.  The culture and habits of Egypt were ingrained in their hearts and minds of the Israelite people.  God could bring them out of Egypt in 1 night, but it would take years to get Egypt out of them!
When you and I got saved we had habits and thoughts patterns that were of this world.  When we got saved those patterns and habits came with us.  God uses the delays to break those habits and thought patterns.  This is to train us in His way of thinking and doing things.  The best thing to do while in God's waiting room is to be patient and let God do His word in your life.  Don't fear, don't be afraid, nor fret or worry.  Don't get worried, uptight or discouraged or loose heart.  Because sometimes God will take you through the wilderness.  He is taking you through the wilderness so that we can learn to count it all joy.  God is taking us through the wilderness to make us better, wiser and stronger.  He can keep us in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him!  God told us on yesterday that He is breaking some things off of us.  God is teaching us to learn how to trust Him and acknowledge Him in all of our ways.  He is God and He is more than able to bring us out!  The children of Israel came out, but still had a Egypt mindset.  We are still holding on to our old ways.  We have to let that go and put all of our trust in Him!  Seeking Him first and only.  There are things that we still have to set down and put away.  God is taking us through the wilderness for us to learn to pray without ceasing.  The wilderness will build up our prayer life.  In the wilderness we can count it all joy.  That is where we learn that He is a keeper!  We are right at our breakthrough and there is a delay, because we are not ready yet.  That pride and unforgiveness you are still walking in, you are not ready yet!!  We must always count on Him.  Seek Him first in everything, fiveamprayer!  In your wilderness experience you will come to know Him as Jehovah Jireh that He is your provider, not the money!  In you marriages the delay will show you how to forgive and what true love looks like, God shows you that He is the God of reconciliation, in the wilderness.  He is taking you through the wilderness.  Don't be afraid or discouraged.  God is processing you!  You will see, through your wilderness experience.  His grace and mercy are sufficient.  We could have went another way, but it was necessary for us to go this way.  God is preparing and testing us in the wilderness.  Will we give up in the middle or continue on?  Will we stand to fight or turn and run?  We learn the most about God in our wilderness experience.  Once you come out, you can tell others that it was nothing but the blood!  He will take you through, to bring you out.  We are being cleaned up in our wilderness experience.  All of those things that get on us from walking in the world, we can not take all of that with us into our promised land!!  There are some old ways, and thoughts that can not come in.  How would it be if God blessed you but, did not get you prepared and the blessing does not remain a blessing to us?  His word says, Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.  How would that work?! To be blessed with riches in finances and you are not able to manage money, that after a while that blessing seems like a curse?  All due to poor choices and decisions--due to having the world's mindset--too much concern over self and your own pleasures.  Now you are consumed by debt.  You don't want you end to be worse than your beginning!  If we are not processed to handle the blessings we can end up with more damage to ourselves and others.  God loves us too much to allow that to happen.  As much as you love your children you would not give a young child keys to the car, likewise, we must have time to mature in our trust and knowledge of God to be able to handle all of the blessings that He has stored up just for us!  God is pulling on what He put on the inside of us, there are other things on the outside that need to fall away.  They will fall off in the wilderness.  That is where God processes us.  We have to get through this, His way.  That is the only way!  God is teaching you something.  It took the children of Israel 40 years , a trip with would normally take up to 2 weeks.  Are you still walking in unforgiveness?  Are you still walking in pride?  That is what God is processing out of you!  That is where the delay comes in.  God is building you up, to get you in line to be able to receive the blessings.  We must be transformed by the renewing of our minds, reading His word daily.  We must cast down every imagination that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God.   He will lead, cover and protect you in the wilderness.  The weak, made even weaker--through the wilderness.  Thank Him for how He is taking you through the wilderness.  It is God's plan--wait on Him!  Delays are sometimes God's plan.  Stop being tied up in self and your old ways.  Israel had a mindset to give up and go back--they had to let go of that Egypt mindset.  With all that they saw, the parting of the Red Sea, manna from heaven, God with them as a pillar of fire and pillar of a cloud, that their shoes and clothes did not wear out--they still were not ready to let go of what they had grew up in.  If it had not been for His grace and mercy!  Showing up in the last second, to let you know that it was nobody but God!  God shows up with overflow blessings in the wilderness.  God knows what He is doing.  He is taking you through the wilderness for His glory.  We ask why, He will show us to count it all joy.  Wilderness experience is where we learn and made stronger, better and wiser.  That is when we fall on our face, we know You have a plan for each of us, Lord.  If God blesses us too fast we won't know what to do.  He wants us to be blessed and a blessing!  That we would give Him all the glory.  Thank You for taking us Your way!  His thoughts are not our thoughts, nor His ways, our ways.  He is taking us through the wilderness.  Take a look at that again:  He is taking us through the wilderness.  Thank You Lord, for leading us through the processing, for us to be more like You.  We have to be made a little weaker, we are not humble yet.  James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.  Not trusting in yourself, but looking to God as He leads you through the wilderness.  Hallelujah God!  Thank You Lord for my wilderness experience.  If He had not taught us to suffer--Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.   Would you otherwise know that He is a deliverer?!  That He is God and will not put more on us than we can bear.  He is putting us through the wilderness and will not leave nor forsake us.  The Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not want, we shall fear no evil for He is with us!  He is taking us through the wilderness.  He is God, there is none besides Him!  We have got to go this way--don't you see that it is a set up!?  We have gotta go this way.  Delays are sometimes God's plan for you.  We gotta go through this way!  Hallelujah God!  His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness.  Every test, trial and tribulation--God is with us, leading us through the wilderness.  He will do it for His glory.  Don't no body get  the glory but God!  We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!  We lift up fiveamprayer, this morning, thank You Lord for our wilderness experience!  We are not trying to be here for 40 years.  We want to learn what You are teaching us, Lord.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown, You already know what we stand in the need of.  We are standing on healing for our dear mother and call it already done.  We know that by Your stripes she is already healed.  We ask for forgiveness for not wanting to go Your way.  No more resisting our wilderness experience.  Make us weaker that we learn and grow.  Set up, set back, in the meantime--sometimes You are leading us through the wilderness to process us.  Thank You Lord!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:
Thank You Lord for all you have, done in the wilderness.

Welcome to the overflow...

We have our mind, peace and joy and Jesus in the wilderness!!  As long as we have King Jesus we don't need anybody else!  Thank You for being a pillar of fire and pillar of a cloud, leading us in the wilderness.  Get us out of the Egypt mind set.  Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  That's His plan, the wilderness plan.  Hold on to His unchanging hand.  He is with you in the wilderness.  We gotta go this way!  It is a set up--we have to go this way.  God is teaching us!  We have to loose somethings!  We have to go this way, being brokenhearted.  He has come to heal the brokenhearted!  We have to go through this way.  Hallelujah God!  It is not for me, it is for someone else!  Thank You for my wilderness experience.  Thank You for filling me with Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding.  When you come out, you will be better than you were before!  We can count it all joy!  God is taking us that way. Some of us have been homeless, that is your way out, in the wilderness.  We are going through to come out!  See you on the other side!   Meet me in Galilee!  To get the promises you have gotta go through the wilderness.  Visit us on facebook, it will encourage you.  We are walking through the wilderness.  The devil can't tie us up or trip us up.  Ask God to guide you, through this experience.  Be no longer bound in your mind!!  God is taking us through, now we must walk it out.  Have a blessed day!
