Philippians 2:1-5;Colossians 1:16-17; 2 Corinthians 10:5; 1 Corinthians 2:16; Genesis 2:7; John 4:23; Zechariah 4:6; Isaiah 54:17; Romans 15:6; 1 Corinthians 1:10; Philippians 4:7; 2 Kings 3:17; Isaiah 43:19; Numbers 16:30; Job 8:7; Isaiah 60:22; Genesis 32:24-26

We are walking in today:  Let Go Of Your Natural Mind.

Philippians 2:1-5 1) If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2) Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3) Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4) Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.  Be in agreement, know where you stand and have the mind of Christ!  Paul told the Philippine Christians that they not only got to believe on Christ, but they had the privilege of suffering for Christ also.  And Paul reminds them that he is in prison for the gospel and tells them to stand firm and live a life worthy of the gospel.  Here in chapter 2, Paul is cheering them on in their attempt to stand firm and live worthy lives.  In Philippians 3:1-2, Paul goes through a laundry list of reminders to give them hope.  For Paul the thing that will make him joyful is for the Philippians to be like minded.   He goes on to explain that the like mindedness means having the same love, the same spirit, the same purpose--Paul has already told them in Philippians 1:6-7 that it is right for me to feel this way about you.  The Greek word in the NIV, translates feel this way from the root verb, which means mindset.  The way one thinks about or predisposition to something.  It is the same word that Paul uses here to encourage them to be like minded.  It is the same word he will use when He says let the mind--which is the attitude, be in you that was in Christ Jesus.  It is also the same word that he uses in Philippians 4:2 when he encourages 2 women in the church who are quarreling, to be of the same mind, to agree with each other.  This is the idea of like mindedness.  It is important to Paul, he sees is as the key to unity in the church.  Paul pleads with them if you have any encouragement from being united in Christ, any comfort from His love, any fellowship with His Spirit, any tenderness and compassion--then make my joy complete by being like minded.  Paul is pulling out all of the stops here to get them to come together.  Paul in Philippians 1:30, has previously appealed to his suffering, since you are going through the same struggles, you saw I had and now here that I have.  Paul wants the Philippians to know that he understands what they are going through, he understands--his persecution and what it means to stand firm.  He understands how difficult it is to live a life worthy of the gospel.  He is an example to them.  But then Paul also wants them to make his joy full and complete.  As their community becomes like minded and so Paul gives them the ultimate example to follow the example of Christ.  I love how the King James reads, let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 2:5  Be like minded with Christ.  Have the same attitude, same mindset the same predisposition to others.  Have the mind of Christ.  Paul also gives the Philippians concrete instructions on what the mind of Christ--did not grasp or hold on to His heavenly position for personal benefits.  He made Himself nothing, literally emptying--Himself in the image of pouring out a bottle, until it was empty.  He took a servants form, human likeliness, humbled Himself, became obedient until death, even the death on the cross.  So if you want to know what the mindset Jesus had, it was giving up, letting go, pouring out Himself for others--Paul goes on to say that because of that mindset, God rightly exalted Jesus, giving Him a name that is above every name.  And at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow in heaven, earth and under the earth.  In other words, Jesus had the attitude He did, the mindset God placed in Him is the highest place in all of heaven and all of the world, living in all the world of the dead, recognizing that Jesus, the Messiah is Lord to the glory of God, our Father in the name of Jesus!
It's time to lay aside your natural mind and take on the mind of Christ!  We are to set down our mindset and walk in His mindset.  Let us have the response of Christ, not our will, but Thy will be done Lord.  No matter what you are looking at, fiveamprayer we are to look to the hills because our help comes from the Lord!  Let His will be done in our marriages, children, jobs, and finances!  We have to have a made up mind to travel through this wilderness.  God is taking us through to bring us out stronger and trusting Him even more!  Let go of your natural mind, it will try to drive you crazy.  We are spiritual and can not give too much attention to the things in the natural--Colossians 1:16-17 16)For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  So fiveamprayer what are you looking towards, the creation or the Creator?  Let go of your natural mind, we are to have the mind of Christ.  We are to stand with other believers to get through the wilderness.  The race is not given to the swift but to those that endure until the end!  We have to trust and believe that God is more than able!  We have to walk this out by faith and not by sight.  Without faith it is impossible to please God--as children of the King we want our Father to be pleased with us!  We need to have faith like Abraham, like Moses, like Joshua, like Mary, Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  Let go of your natural mind!  What you see is only temporary!  God has already made a way for you!  We have to pull it down from the spiritual into the natural.  2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.  Many of us are over thinking or over processing what we see in the natural.  The enemy wants us to get caught up in our jobs, unemployment, finances--we know that God is the provider, not the money!  Don't get caught up in doubt or fear!  Let go of our natural mind, it is too easily swayed by what is going on in the natural to remain stable.  We are spirit covered in flesh--Genesis 2:7 (AMP) Then the Lord God formed man from the [a]dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.  John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.  Fiveamprayer, let go of your natural mind!  No matter what the doctor is saying, let go of your natural mind.  Some of us are facing the courthouse today, let go of your natural mind.  Others have their finances under attack, let go of your natural mind!  The natural mind has no real power, we have to look to God and His word--Isaiah 54:17 (AMP) But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.  That is why God asked us yesterday who we are with--who is on the Lord's side?!  Romans 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.   1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Our thoughts, vision and focus should be to Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith!  Who for the joy set before Him, despised the shame and sits at the right hand of the Father.  This same man was whipped all night long, crucified and rose three days later, with all power of heaven and earth in His hands.  Our God is more than able!  No matter how it looks to us.  It seems like a huge mountain when you look at it with you natural mind.  Take on the mind of Christ who was there at the very beginning--really it is not all that big.  There is nothing too hard for our God!  Cast off the old ways and thoughts, they did not benefit you anything!  Let go of your natural mind!  God is able to do all things!  2 Kings 3:17 For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.  How many days did we call on God to bless us indeed?  That means anyway Lord!  So that means it may not be familiar to you, nor does it have to be.  Let go of your natural mind and let God be God!  Isaiah 43:19 (AMP) Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.  The new thing that God is doing will let everyone know that it was God!  Numbers 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.  So let us trust that God is in control and knows what He is doing.  His plans don't and won't be pre-approved by us.  Nor can we help Him figure it out--it is already done and finished!!  Our job is to take on the mind of Christ and renew or minds daily with His word.  No matter how it looks--Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.  Isaiah 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.  God is the ultimate multi-tasker, surely He sees and knows what you are facing.  But are you facing He who is able to keep you from falling, while preparing you for the way He has already arranged?!  He is omnipotent, nothing escapes His notice, not even the turmoil you are going through.  Thank the Lord that what we are in, is what we are coming out of.  God is not leaving you in that situation--you will come out stronger, better and wiser.  Able to minister to others in the same situation that He brought you out of.  You will be able to give Him all of the glory for the victory!  Because you really don't know how God did it, but He did!  You did not see a way, but you looked to God and the way was revealed to you!  Thank You God for letting us know that we can lose our minds and take up Yours!   We lift up fiveamprayer this morning, have them to truly cast down their thoughts, ideas and intellect and take up the mind of Christ.  We need a new way of thinking, we can take on a righteous mind--because of what Christ did for us!  Let go of what you see in the natural, fiveamprayer!  Hold on to your righteous mind!  We come to ask for Your forgiveness and thank You for casting our sins into the sea, that they are remembered no more.  Let us forgive ourselves and others that we are forgiven by the Father.  Let go of your natural mind!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  Genesis 32:24-26 24) And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.25) And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26) And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Welcome to the overflow...

Hallelujah!  Glory to Your name, Lord!  Let go of your natural mind to be able to hold on to like Jacob!  To be able to see God's hand moving in your marriages, singleness, finances, healing--let go of your natural mind!  Let this mind be in you which is in Christ Jesus!  We are to be Christ minded.  God is pulling us together, now is not the time to walk by yourself!  1 can chase a 1,000 and 2 can chase 10,000!  The devil knows that we are in the last days and we can't do this thing alone!  Find another believer to stand with you, speaking God's word over every situation!  We are more than overcomers, more than conquers!  Let go of your mind, those thoughts that say that you aren't gonna make it.  Look to the spirit!  We are to worship Him in spirit and in truth!  Fiveamprayer we are to walk in the Spirit of God!  Let go of this natural mind, we are not of this world!  We are transformed by the renewing of our minds!  He has already made a way for us--God has gone ahead of us!  We praise Your name Lord!  You are so amazing, so awesome!  God has been better to us than we have been to ourselves!  It is already done in the spirit!  We are to walk it out, let go of your natural mind!  He keeps us in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him!  Let this mind be in you, the mind of Christ.  He bore the cross for the joy set before Him and now sits at the right hand of the Father.  At His name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord!  God has already created a way of us!  Let go to the natural mind, trust and believe God!  Thank You Lord!  I will let go of my natural mind, thank You for giving us a mind like Christ!  Let go of your natural mind, fiveamprayer!  Hallelujah!  Visit us on facebook, it will encourage you!  What did God say, it is already done in the spirit!  Have a blessed day!
