Acharei Mot/After the Death & Kedoshim/Holy People

Leviticus 16:1-20:27; Ezekiel 20:2-20; 2 Corinthians 6-9

We Are Walking in Today:  Torah Portion--Acharei Mot/After the Death & Kedoshim/Holy People

Witness community throughout the Complete Jewish Bible: found 200 times and means common union, people with same focus also considered family
Exodus 12:19, 12:47, 16:2, 16:10; Leviticus 16:17; Numbers 15:25; Deuteronomy 15:2, 33:4; Joshua 18:1, 22:18; Jeremiah 30:20, 31:33; Psalm 74:2; Ezra 10:14; Nehemiah 8:17; 2 Chronicles 6:3; Matthew 16:8

This Torah portion begins with the instructions from Moses to Aaron after the death of his sons who went before the Lord in an incorrect manner.  The instructions tells of the proper way to being offerings before Yahweh, how the high priest is to be clothed to enter into the holy of holies, where the presence of Yahweh resided over the cover of the ark.  The requirements for atonement for the high priest to offer sacrifices for the people for the arrival of His presence is the instructions for Yom Kippor, Day of Atonement.  We have to remember that we are not to approach the King of kings just any kind of way.  The love that He shows us is in showing us first that we would know how to approach and not be found out of order.  As we continue in the portion we have the directions for the community and those that come to reside with the children of Israel.  These directions are for all the people to follow without discrimination.  His word is His word, period.  Let us put away the instructions from man that are not from His instructions!  Matthew 23:2-3  (KJV) 2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.  Yeshua tells us that we are to follow the instructions that Yahweh gave to Moses to the children of Israel.  This is His word not the words of man!  Exodus 4:28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.  All that the Lord God King of the Universe speaks is to be upheld and highly regarded--this is the only word that never returns void!  Study to know more and more about Him and what He has in store for you!  To hear more of this lesson click here.

We are walking in today:  The Accusing Tongue--How Clean Is Your Conscious?

Witness  accusing throughout the Bible: false charges or to blame  Psalm 51:6; Luke 23:1-3, 23:13-14; Acts 24:8. 24:13

This is one of the tongues that we use with rare restraint.  It does not take much for us to put the screws to a person that even has a whisper of wrong doing.  How do we sit being able to pass judgment on the speck in their eye while trying to see clear of that oak tree that clouds' our vision?!  We can see even in courtrooms the importance of getting and weighing all the evidence.  Those major cases that the crime was tried in the media, first--makes for a very  difficult jury selection.  If those who are to weigh the facts have 'their' own agenda the accused stands with no hope.  This morning Yahweh comes to tell us all the ways that the accusing tongue shows up.  Also to be aware that the one pointing the finger, as the saying goes has three pointing back at them.  All the more reason to listen quickly and be slow to speak.  For that selah moment gives us more time to 'see' what is speaking.  The flesh has much to say quickly and without restraint--this tongue fast has given us hard to hear truths about ourselves.  No matter how well meaning we may have been---take the correction and find yourself in right standing with Yahweh.  We can not continue to speak ill of what was created in His image!  The same protection that we have from Him--they have it too.  That is not our position to point out their faults, you have your own!  Don't allow the enemies agents to distract you from the path of His righteousness!  Yahweh's word is true--all true and nothing but true!  Yet we have listened to the lies and there is that crack that disobedience finds to push us out of His good and right way.  We have to really get this--out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks!  When we have hurt, pain, bitterness, anger in our hearts that is what is shows up in our words and colors the atmosphere around you.  Why do people not trust what you say when you are in being so nice?  They know that there is more to the situation and the 'real' will come out eventually.  Fiveamprayer, we have to deal with all that is out of order so that we can be fully restored and directed back to His path.  No longer rely in your intellect and wisdom--that our faulty smarts have propped us up for a dangerous fall.   Pause and consider all that you hear, about those famous people, family and friends.  We are to be His agents here on the earth and many if us don't know what we will tumble out of our mouths.  The power of life and death is in our tongues!  That is power over our lives, and those that we speak to as well.  The words of the King sets that rule of the kingdom!  Remember that we are the lower case kings and lords that He is King and Lord over!  We  should be walking in His footsteps so much so that people get us mixed up with Him!  You have heard that children take after their parent so much so that that they are even confused with the parent due to their behavior.  Fiveamprayer, is anyone getting you confused with Yahweh due to your behavior?  If you were to stand side by side with Adonai would it be hard to tell who is who?  By your speech?  How you treat others?  How you speak to yourself?  Take time out to review and seek Him for these answers that you will not be misled any longer!  To hear this again click here.

The Retaliating Tongue, Only Yahweh Pays Vengeance!

1 Peter 2:22-24; Matthew 5:38-42; Genesis 34, 49:5-7; Romans 12:17, 19; Exodus 21:22-25;   Leviticus 24:17-22Judges 1:6-7; Deuteronomy 13:5, 17:7, 17:12, 21:21, 22:21-24, 24:7, 25:1-4; Matthew 5:21

We are walking in today:  The Retaliating Tongue, Only Yahweh Pays Vengeance!

Witness retaliate throughout the Bible: found in the Complete Jewish Bible one time in 1 Peter 2:22-24

We have all at some point had some one who hurt us, whether on purpose or by accident that we were stirred to return the not-so-nice 'favor'.  We have come under the misunderstanding that if someone hits you, hit them back.  This rule of the playground is not used as often once we grow up but rather instead we use our words to 'get them back'.  Turn about is f airplay, right?  Wrong, all wrong!  Yeshua did not return back evil for evil.  He showed us that He would remain peaceful and kind.  This is important because only One can pay vengeance.  Only the Creator can protect and guard His handiwork.  We are hand crafted by Yahweh Himself.  We must consider and know, fiveamprayer that we are not to retaliate against His creation!  The same protection that we have, our offenders have as well.  They too are made in His image and likeness.  What we strive against is our fleshly desire to control and handle the situation--while that was never to be the case!  In the Tanakh or the first half of the Bible there is direction to how the community was to dictate order and consequences for actions.  These were handed down from Yahweh to Moses.  This was not to be done in anger for we are too faulty to be trusted!  The whole truth of the matter is that this was to help deter the wrong behaviors and seek to live harmoniously in a community.  Fiveamprayer, our plotting, scheming and backbiting towards those that have done us wrong is completely out of order!  In our pain and offense we have, to retaliate, we have now moved into disobedience.  This does not reduce nor relieve the pain that we feel.  Will we trust in Almighty God to deliver on all of His word?!  Be honest when you took the situation in your hands did it get any better?!  Even if a little bit, it was short lived!  And then pow--you have really stepped into it now! When you find out that the root cause that began the offense and your retaliation may keep this disobedience going and going.  When does it all stop?   Who will say when it has been too much?  Can you see how easily feuding families can begin and further division in communities or towns?  Could this be one of the reasons why Yahweh didn't want us to tear each other down?  That is could go on unchecked without limit?  We have got to be obedient to His instructions before we understand in our intellect!
Our words and actions matter to others, ourselves and Yahweh over all!  We must cease from the disobedience and heated impulses.  We must move with purpose and not be in reactionary mode, more mistakes are made that way.  The forces of the enemy will try to have you to move before considering the best way to move.  This is why many things are taken out of our hands that we are not positioned to do the wrong things.  We are learning how to truly walk in His commandments in our daily lives.  That we will find the scriptures walking around, operating in our obedience.  Fiveamprayer, the Holy Spirit is leading us back to the beginning!  We are to have blessings on our lips.  Remember the bitter and sweet do not come from the same fountain!  This would be a great example in the retaliating tongue, having choice cutting words for the offender and then turn around with blessings for the loved one.  Why are we directed to love our enemies--that is not allowing for retaliation--because it is only for Yahweh to dish out as He sees fit.  Only He knows all and sees all!  Rely and rest, in the highest wisdom!  He is more than able to handle it all and certainly in the right way!  To hear more of this teaching click here.

The Complaining Tongue--Change Your Words To--'I Won't Complain!'

Psalm 142:1-2; Philippians 2:14; Exodus 16; Numbers 11-14, 16, 21; 1 Corinthians 10:9-11; John 7:12, 7:32; Philippians 4:8; Jude 1:16; Hebrews 11:6; James 5:9; Isaiah 14:12-14; Numbers 27; Philippians 4:14-15, 4:8; Matthew 20:11; Luke 5:30, 15:2, 19:7; Proverbs 10:19; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Acts 16:1; 1 Peter 4:9; John 6:41, 6:43, 6:61; 1 Corinthians 10:10; Matthew 18:15-17, 5:23-24; 7:3-5; Galatians 6:1

We are walking in today:  The Complaining Tongue--Change  Your Words To--'I Won't Complain!'

Witness throughout the Bible: H6682 tsĕvachah outcry or shout
Numbers 11:1-3; Psalm 144:14; Job 9:26-29; Acts 6:1

When we are unappreciative we can easily find ourselves in complaint.  This does not seem like it does nothing more than be noise pollution to those with in earshot.  We have to realize that complaint shows our lack of trust and appreciation for the provision that Yahweh has given us.  He knows all things and we must be patient--His response and fulfillment of His plan.
When we use complaint with people for a benefit for the correction of a situation such as an incorrect order at a restaurant.  You could put on facebook how you have received poor service and the other offenses or speak to the manager to let them know so that it can be corrected and possibly prevent someone else from having the same problem.
Let us not be found in constant questions of every area of our lives, that can lead to murmuring which can be contagious amongst others and breeds even more discontent in a community.  We have seen this in the wilderness with the Children of Israel.  We have also experienced this with others who work overtime to pull you into their discontent and dissatisfaction to gain 'allies' for their offense.  If this is something that can be dealt with--do just that deal with it so that it can be resolved and keeps the air clean without setting the stage for more discontent in others.  To hear more of this teaching click here.

The Fourth Commandment Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it.  Six days you shall work and accomplish all your work; the seventh day is Sabbath to the Lord, your God; you shall not do any work--you, your son, your daughter, your slave, your maidservant, your animal, and your convert within your gates--for in six day the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and He rested the seventh day.  Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.

354. You shall not work your Hebrew bondsman with slave labor --Leviticus 25:39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

355. You shall not sell a Hebrew bondman in the manner of a slave --Leviticus 25:42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
356. You shall not subjugate a Hebrew bondman through hard labor --Leviticus 25:43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.

357.  You may acquire foreign bondsmen to remain yours as an ancestral heritage --Leviticus 25:46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
358. You shall not allow a foreigner to mistreat a Hebrew bondsman --Leviticus 25:53 And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.
359. You shall make the second Passover offering on the 14th day of the second month (Pesach Sheni) --Numbers 9:11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
360. You shall eat the Passover Sheni lamb with matzor and bitter herbs --Numnbers 9:11
361. You shall not break a bone of the Passover Sheni lamb offering --Numbers 9:12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
362. You shall not leave over any of the Passover Sheni lamb offering until morning --Numbers 9:12
363. You shall offer to male lambs as and Elevation-Offering on your on each Sabbath (Mussaf)  --Numbers 28:9 And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:

Our actions start off as a thought.  The focus on the wrong words become things that are not in correct with standing with Yahweh.  We know the intentions behind our words, while it seems to be less offensive and pleasant but the root and the intention is still out of order.  We find in our study this morning that curse words include the 'nice' versions of the curse words.  Why not just say what you mean?  How about I am surprised by this--instead of those expletives that we may have used to use.  Well what is the big deal?  Our words have power and the intention behind them is very important, to those who do not know better it would appear that you are doing what the Bible instructs us not to do.  Saying things that are profane or obscene.  Some of us have gone as far as not to be one who uses curse words but enjoys entertainment that has it used for the sake of humor.  But that is not a big deal...oh but it is this exposure to this language will wear down our stance of what it right according to His instructions.  We have to look again to find that the the morally right things are not on the same side as the things that are correct with Yahweh.  Our Western/Greek mindset has placed the ideas of man, above the infallible word of Yahweh!  We can not use words of harm toward man--the image and likeness of Adonai doesn't that transfer as disrespect to Elohim Himself?  Do parents approve of speaking ill about their children as if it was spoken to the parent themselves?  We have to truly look at what it is that we are preparing to speak!  We have have many years of practice and experience with the wrong words, substitute words, our of order words and the like.  We have to know the words we are using and the reason why we are using them.   To hear this teaching again click here

Torah Portion--Tazria/She Conceives and Metzora/Person With Skin Disease

Leviticus 12:1-15:33; 2 Kings 7:3-20; 2 Corinthians 4-5

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion--Tazria/She Conceives and Metzora/Person With Skin Disease

Witness conceived throughout the Bible:  H2029 harah to conceive, become pregnant, bear, be with child, be conceived, progenitor.  In the mind to conceive, contrive, devise
Genesis 16:5, 21:2; Leviticus 12:2; 2 Samuel 11:5; 2 Kings 4:17; Jeremiah 49:30; Psalm 7:14; Matthew 1:10; Luke 1:24, 2:21; Acts 5:4

This morning for our Torah portion we have two, a double portion,  She Conceives and Person With Skin Disease.  These two portions are assigned to us this week is very fitting for us being in the taming of the tongue.  Yahweh has given us this portion for His reason and let's take a look at why.  The ideas that we have in our minds can conceive many things, both words and actions.  This is where words are born.  What have you conceived in your mind?  In taming out tongues we have to know where did this word stem from?  We have to also be aware if we are allowing those words uttered but it goes deeper than that!  We are not allowed to think on those things that He has not directed us!  Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  For we know that the power of life and death is in our tongue!  What are we allowing to escape our lips into the air?   We find that in the next Torah portion that what we speak in secret is never secret from Yahweh.  The skin disease resulted from being among things that are unclean.  But how can that happen?  The main contributor is the evil tongue--lashon hara.  This skin disease would allow the person to reflect on this time of isolation that this contagious thing did not spread to other people.  Those who were to be placed outside the camp had to shout to others 'unclean, unclean' in the presence of others that they too would not be contaminated.  This is showing us that we are not allowed to utter things against each other nor disregard His instructions!  His desire is for us to walk in unity and the instructions were given for His purpose.  John 17:15-21 (KJV)15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Bible: “His Story” (true history)

Character
Self-government (internal obedience to God)

The three main orders of study in ancient Israel consisted of:

1.    Religious education
2.    Occupational skills
3.    Military training
with the basis of all knowledge being the fear of the Lord (Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 1:7).

Lawfulness:
Love one another. The last shall be first. Deny thyself. Obey God’s Commandments.

To understand the Early Church we must dig through layers of a mountain of man’s influences shoveling off and discarding man’s traditions, theories, interpretations, and philosophies from Greek and Roman civilizations, Aristotle, Constantine, Marcion, etc., to be able to examine the Early Church.

During the Reformation, men such as Wycliffe and Calvin were digging in the right spot. They dug up and discarded many theological errors and found a view of God’s plan of salvation by grace, but anti-Semitic layers remain and now there are new layers of tradition, interpretations, western thought (a return to the Greek and Roman philosophy) and conditioning that need removal. Only then can we have a clear view of the Early Church.

Greek philosophy between Aristotle and Augustine is the foundation of Western thought (Aristotle tried to merge the Bible and Plato = Hellenistic Philosophy). This is the reason for so much Greek philosophy in the church. Explore the differences between Eastern and Western thinking and how it affects each culture.

The Self-Absorbed Tongue, Pay Attention To Others Concerns

Philippians 2; Genesis 2:7; Deuteronomy 15:7; Proverbs 18:21; Esther 5:11

We are walking in today:  The Self-Absorbed Tongue, Pay Attention To Others Concerns

Witness selfish  throughout the Bible:  the self absorbed is a person that has a concentrated focus on their own thoughts and actions and the desire to share this with others
Psalms 119:136; 1 Corinthians 13:4-6; Galatians 5:19-21; Philippians 1:16-18; James 3:14, 3:16

Fiveamprayer we have all experienced situations where the person you are speaking with is not giving you room to share your insight.  It feels like a monologue instead of a conversation.  And in the end you walk away feeling as if you could not get in a word edgewise.  Yet as we talk or speak with others, we will find how much we have done this same thing to others.  Do we disregard others and speak out of turn?  Can we really listen to others fully before we respond?  Do we have a monopoly on the content of the conversation? What percentage was focused solely on you?  When we truly learn how to have genuine conversations with others they will walk away with a connection, correction, understanding that the yielding to the Holy Spirit will minister to both your hearts.  Cease from idle conversations just for the sake of speaking.  Don't desire to shift the focus back on you when the other person is speaking--this shows a lack of care for their concern.  We are to be able to take our cares to each other for safe keeping.  When we are not able to share and receive in genuine conversation, can lead to isolation.  Do we review our own motivations to find what is our intention behind that which we speak or share with others.  Fiveamprayer,  be careful in your desire to relate to others in their situation that we take over the conversation in our desire to show that they are not alone but the real question is are you listening?  There is some comfort that we are not alone in that experience but that is not always the time to share that information.  Hold your tongue to hear and listen to what they have to say.  Wouldn't it be great that once you are done speaking that the other person had to pause to consider what to say?  That they were not getting there response ready instead of listening with full intention?  We have to be wise in who we speak to and when would be a good time to speak.  The time of picking our words and when and how to speak will do away with much of our idle talk.  Remember that we are responsible for all that we utter.  With this better understanding we have and continue to receive, we will pause and reflect on what will be said.  To listen to more of this teaching click here.

The Judgmental Tongue, Consider Your Ways Before Counseling Others

Matthew 7; John 8:15-16; James 3; Genesis 16:12; Galatians 6:5; Romans 14:11; 1 Corinthians 3:14-15; Matthew 5:44

We are walking in today:  The Judgmental Tongue, Consider Your Ways Before Counseling Others

Witness judgmental throughout the Bible--judgemental is person that has or displays a critical point of view of others.
negative 1 Samuel 29:10 and  judging Matthew 7:1-5

Fiveamprayer we have to take a serious look at ourselves this morning!  We have all fallen prey to the judgmental tongue.  For we are well experienced and not sure why others are failing.  Despite the well meaning intentions that we have, we often have actions similar to those that we judge.  One of the major problems with judgement is that we do not have the full disclosure of the situation to judge.  Can you imagine a judge in a court of law that would set forth decisions on only one word against the accused?  This 'name that tune' judgement is often how our judgement arises.  Let us not forget the fact that the only one that we sin against is Yahweh Himself and is the only one perfect and wholly able to judge rightly!  Our judgements do not bring about a better person often the opposite and can also become a breeding ground of other critical and harsh views of others.  Yeshua tells us in scripture that we can not attempt to help others with their smaller issues when you have huge problems cropping up all over the place.  This idea of ignoring your problems to assist others in their own seems to make the person feel better about their own terrible state.  This avoidance does not bode well for those who have received your counseling, to find that you are in a much worse condition!  This leads us back to having an action based language that is not solely focused on mere confession, devoid of corresponding action.  This is the idea of what you speak is what you do--the words matching the actions.  In a Hebraic mindset the action of the person is valued higher than the words, for anyone say this or say that but do your actions follow what you have spoken?
The judgmental spirit is also dangerous for it presumes that it is in equal standing with the Just Judge who set all things in motion.  He who said let there be and it was.  Since none of us have that level of equal standing with Yahweh we are not called to be judges of others, we are to judge and correct our own selves.  This will take prayer and conscious review if we are falling prey to a familiar trap of judging others.  Turn off that TV show that gives all the negative details of famous people's lives.  Stop taking that call from Sally-tell-all-the-bad who just heard one other piece of information on another person's difficult situation.  This lack of compassion is not truly realized until we are facing the judgmental spirit operating in others and find no mercy or grace.  Oh but it the tables were turned!!  Let us be aware and recognize that we don't have the charge to judge and often lack all the detail to view the situation properly and are better suited to prayer for the person and the situation.  Who knows how Yahweh will work all things together for their good, but do you want to be found judging them that you too would also be judged in the same manner?  To hear this again click here.  https://www.freeconferencecallhd.com/playback.html?n=RvxYy/jh1R4

The Rude Tongue, Consider Your Fellow Human Beings

Isaiah 35:8; Luke 6:31; 1 Corinthians 13:4-5; Matthew 5:9; James 3:17-18; Romans 12:3, 10; Hosea 11:4; Matthew 7:3; Acts 17:11; Proverbs 21:23, 15:33; James 1:19; Psalm 119:165; Proverbs 16:7

We are walking in today:  The Rude Tongue, Consider Your Fellow Human Beings

Witness rude throughout the Bible:  G2399 idiōtēs ignorant an unlearned, illiterate, man as opposed to the learned and educated: one who is unskilled in any art
1 Corinthians 13:4-6; 2 Corinthians 11:5-6

We have to take a look at ourselves this morning, Fiveamprayer.  Do we make time to give people quality time in our conversations?  Are we too busy multitasking that we are ignoring one person while speaking to another.  How can we expect others to understand us clearly while we are having two separate conversations?!  This seems like an absurd situation, but how many of us have been on our cell phones while doing bank transactions or in the line at the store that the person is not sure if you are speaking to them the person on the phone?  How do they know who you are talking to?  The person on the phone is not clear that you are speaking to the teller or the cashier.  With the advancement of technology--have we forgotten that we are to treat others the way you want to be treated?  We are never happy to find that we are competing in a conversation to get the listeners attention.  We are unhappy to find the person that we are speaking to does not have time to listen to what we are saying.  That you have to repeat yourself because they were not listening and speaking to someone else.  How do you know if what you have said was heard or understood?  Now that we have considered others and will get of the phone once it is our turn with the teller or cashier, let's look at other areas where we are rude.
Do we over talk others?  Are we not able to listen and hear what the person is saying before making our reply?  Will we shout over them to be heard?  Do we speak in a normal tone and over-talk or disregard what they are saying?  How can there be open communication with others if they will not allow you to speak?  Which is certainly not listening to the other  person--this shows a lack of consideration.  Fiveamprayer we have to know that we are responsible for our actions we want to be considerate of others that they would be considerate of us.  Don't allow anything to change you--it is Yahweh who has put that on the inside of you.  We must be in actions, not reactions--especially stemming from our emotions.  How is the way that we were to act?  Don't be moved from what Adonai has placed on the inside of you!!  Do you realize that when we are consistent in our actions that are directed by the Holy Spirit in our conversations with others we will find that others will have a better response?!  Take time to listen to others without other distractions, for surely that is how you would like them to listen to you.  To hear this again click here.

The intimidating tongue is our teaching today.  We have to walk in holy boldness that we have on the inside of us.  With the study of His word and yielding to the Holy Spirit to know that we are relying on Him totally. The assignment that has been given to us will be accomplished that we will fear not for He is with us!  Don't allow others to back you into a corner for nothing can ever stand against us!  While we are standing our ground, know that the enemy does not obtain access to our lives without or disobedience or believing the lies that are being whispered or shouted.  The truth stands and rings clear in our ears but will we back up from it?  The only two who saw the land and actually entered in is Caleb and Joshua for they knew that with Yahweh they were well able to overtake the enemy.  They were not intimidated by the 'giants in the land'.  Fiveamprayer we must have the same declaration on our lips and tongue that we are not fearful of the enemy nor revere them for that is what fear is doing.  That is similar to worship to the enemy for that is saying that he has more power than he actually does.  This power that he appears to have was given by us to him!  Take the power back!!  Don't let the loud talking and large situations overwhelm us when He has already overcome the world!  Game over for the enemy, but he is hoping that we are not aware that the clock has ran out!  If we are not paying attention he is able to advance his position. Why are we fighting in a battle that has already been won?  Why would we be fearful that we can loose what has already been afforded to us?  This development of a closer relationship with Almighty God, Yahweh is what we have to have in our hearts that we would draw closer and closer to Him.  Our Heavenly Father, Abba is drawing us to return to Him.  When we stand on His word and look to find our relationship with Him that He would not be distant when He desires to embrace us!  Let us go and press into His presence that we would no longer have this distance between us!  The time is now for us to be close to Him and no longer be at arms length.  Why not seek Him as He is pursing you?  Be without fear and stand on all of His word knowing that He is the one that backs it up!  So in the face of intimidation stand and know that we will not be taken out!  Yeshua already has the victory and we won't back up. Stand and stand therefore for we are well able to overtake the land!  To hear this teaching again, click here.

Torah Portion Shemini/Eighth-- Set Apart People For Yahweh

Leviticus 9:1-11:47; 1 Samuel 20:18-42; 2 Corinthians 1-35; Mark 9:1-13

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion Shemini/Eighth-- Set Apart People For Yahweh
Leviticus 9:1-11:47; 1 Samuel 20:18-42; 2 Corinthians 1-35

Witness set apart throughout the Bible: separated for specific use, to cross over, to pass over, to march over
Exodus 13:12, 19:6, 20:8, 31:13-14; Deuteronomy 5:12, 7:6, 14:2, Ezekiel 36:23; Psalm 4:4; John 17:16-18; Acts 20:32; Romans 6:19

Fiveamprayer, we are looking to find the importance of being set apart as the people of Israel find in the wilderness.  In this section of scripture the fire fell, from the presence of Adonai to accept the sacrifice offering.  This was done after the leader, Aaron carried out what he was directed to do by Yahweh.  The importance of leadership is that when things are in order allows the people are also found to also walk in an acceptable manner.   What is this strange fire?  This is the fire that did not come from the acceptance of Yahweh of the offerings, fire from heaven.  Fire that was brought in from another source.  This is a visual of finding our own way and not being obedient to His direction.  This reliance in ourselves shows our lack of trust of Yahweh our God.  This is seen later with King David returning the ark of the covenant, caused death of Uzzah who thought that he could help the ark of the covenant from falling form the cart that was lead by oxen from falling.  These incidents seems like it should not result in death at first glance, but with more understanding of what was set forth, instructed and directed would allow better understanding of where the trespass or mistake was made.  Yahweh, teaches us first and when we uphold His teachings we do not come to be out of order--that could lose our lives.  The fire was not to come from anywhere or anyone else.  When this was tested two perished.  The returning of the ark by King David, was not adhered to the correct process in handling the ark.  Recall in the directions in Numbers  chapters 3 and 4 the correct handling of the items in the tabernacle.  Not just anyone was to handle the things in the tabernacle and the ark itself had poles that were to be used when carrying it.  Recall that with Uzzah set forth his hand to steady the ark on the cart.  The cart was not directed by Yahweh in His directions to the Levites, but was the manner that the ark was carried away by their enemies.  Fiveamprayer we have to be very careful not to follow and do the things we see others doing.  That in which we are to follow are His directions and instructions!  Whether or not it seems like a good idea shows that we are not fully decided that He truly knows best.  He created all and we were crafted by His hands, certainly there is not higher authority to consider and yet we often do.  This portion is warning us not to be led astray to other practices that He never intended for us to.  Well meaning in ignorance or prideful in infallibility, the result is the same.  Those things that are not to be done, are just that--not to be done and both cases they lost their lives for their actions.  This gives even  more import to going back to the beginning to find the Hebraic meaning and intention of scripture.  This is what we have lost over the years and have come to only read and understand scripture from a Greek/Western mindset that is firmly set in the the centuries of a different understanding that is based on man's intellect and not in what Yahweh directed from beginning! The Tactless Tongue, Speaking From a Root of Anger

Colossians 4:1-6; James 1:26;1 Peter 3:10; Proverbs 15:1, 11:9, 12:18, 12:25; James 1:19; Proverbs 16:32; 21:23

We are walking in today:  The Tactless Tongue, Speaking From a Root of Anger

Fiveamprayer we have to consider that which we will speak in every situation!  We and those in the conversation with us will fare better with a thoughtful response and not be in reaction mode.  We have all too many times had our mouths run away with us and cause untold damage but damage all the same.  Taking a selah moment to consider the real problem--the situation, not the person.  That we are not in such a hurry to respond or defend ourselves will give us the time led by the Holy Spirit to respond in the right way, don't forget that silence is a response as well.  This is no longer a battle of words it is the battle of controlling yourself!   We are to treat others how we want to be treated--would you receive your response that is seeking to leap off of your tongue.  Is it kind?  Is it gracious?  Will these words sow seeds that will bear good fruit in the situation?   Will we uplift the good over the bad?  Or do our words give courage or cause discouragement?  This is what we must consider that we are not speaking with out a pause to bridle that tactless tongue.  To hear more on this teaching click here.

The Harsh Tongue--Bashing With Our Words

Proverbs 15:1, 31:26; Isaiah 55:11; Proverbs 16:32; Psalm 57:4; John 8:7; 1 Corinthians 13; Matthew 5:24-25, 5:44, 5:39; James 3:5-6; Proverbs 16:32; James 3:18

We are walking in today:  The Harsh Tongue--Bashing With Our Words

Witness harsh throughout the Bible: Genesis 16:6, 42:7, 42:29-31; Exodus 18:10; Leviticus 25:43, 25:46, 25:53; Deuteronomy 26:6; Judges 6:2; 1 Samuel 20:10; 1 Kings 12:4; 12:13; Isaiah 19:4; Proverbs 15:1; Daniel 2:15; Ezra 2:59; 2 Chronicles 10:4; Colossians 3:19; 1 Peter 2:18; Jude 1:15-16

Can the words that we use be considered a harsh or crushing blow?  In our current society it is not considered a problem to bash or crush others with our words.  Be it family members, co-workers or others in the community, it can be found in operation very easily.  While these words continue to bruise and burn those who are subjected to this verbal barrage of abuse.  Fiveamprayer we have to understand that we are not to allow our tongues to whip and beat upon people.  As the old saying goes, if you can not say anything nice, say nothing at all.  We should seek to add a positive, loving, kind words to the situation or that they would hear love--instead of seeking how to tear down and obliterate with our words.  We should all desire to speak to others that they are in a better position after you speak to them.  Have a heart of charity to speak kindly and gentle correction in love.  We have in scriptures that we are known by the love that we show one another--John 13:35  (KJV) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.  This display of love we are to show and be known by is especially seen in our words and our tone, in how we speak to everyone.  Whether correcting or warning we can have our tongue be gentle and not cause harm but speak that which is true, in love.  The time that we take to choose the correct words and the pause we use to collect our thoughts and being lead of the Holy Spirit, will accomplish more of showing this love while speaking honestly.  The idea of the words only being nice and not truthful can also be hurtful to either the listener or the speaker.  To hear more of this teaching click here.  https://www.freeconferencecallhd.com/playback.html?n=RvxYy/jh3C1

We are walking in today:  The Know It All Tongue, Part 2

Witness presumptuous throughout the Bible:  H2086 zed arrogant, proud, insolent, presumptuous
Numbers 14:43-44; Deuteronomy 17:12-14, 18:20, 18:22; Jeremiah 48:29; Psalm 19:14; 2 Peter 2:9-11

Fiveamprayer as we continue on this study of the know-it-all tongue we have to know that our words can entrap us or keep us from the trap!  This is why the taming of the tongue is so important!  We know that the power of life and death is in our tongues but this study is really showing us that we will have what we say.  Will be speak what Yahweh has already spoken?  Do we believe He will deliver on all of His word?  The word that never fails and can not be reversed?  Will we rely on our experiences that is connected to our emotions or move in obedience and expectation of what Yahweh has spoken?  When we speak is as important as what we speak.  Those who are selective with their words appear wise and take time to consider before uttering a word.  We should really be checking what is in our hearts, that is what comes bubbling up onto our tongues.  Forgive, release, free those who have harmed you or who seemed to have wronged you.  Do not allow offenses--real or perceived to hold you in bondage to incorrect and dysfunctional words that could be uttered in you hurt or pain.  Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  How can we watch out for this, by getting godly council from those who are wise, accept correction for those who are returning to the instructions of Yahweh.  This council will also show that the assignment that we have been given is not to be completed by ourselves.  Which is an affront to the know-it-all tongue.  They rather seek to accomplish all by themselves--while putting undue stress and strain on themselves.  In the book of Proverbs, King Solomon, tells us to get council, that that there is a better payoff in a collaboration with those that are wise instead of isolation and arrogance that they can make for a lack luster result.  We are to walk by faith--obedience and not our feelings--experiences.  Walking in our experiences will tie the hands of Almighty God, for that only allows those experiences to be repeated when He can do all things in many different ways!  Jeremiah 29:11 (CJB)  For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai,‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.  Fiveamprayer we must put down our expectations and walk in His expectations from His instructions.  Which includes our rehearsing His directions for our lives, constantly which leaves no room for negative, self-defeating talk, verbal attacks on others or any other dysfunctional words that are being removed from our repertoire.  Take time to think your words through, purpose your words before uttering them.  The pause before speaking will keep others from harm for our words if wielded without care, are very harmful and causes much damage to the listeners including ourselves.  To hear this again click here. https://www.freeconferencecallhd.com/playback.html?n=RvxYy/jhGKN

In our  study in the taming of the tongue we go to the book of Proverbs to learn how to handle the know it all tongue.  King Solomon, the son of King David  who was given great wisdom by Yahweh--writes to us about wisdom throughout the book Proverbs.  What we can find in this chapter of Proverbs that we must be able to have discipline and take correction.  This is a challenge for the know it all spirit.  They have have much time invested in there intellect and how others view them.  The folly of this thought pattern can easily switch to them being the ones in control, even over Yahweh Himself.  That is so very dangerous and will not bode well for them or their future generations.  For we must not forget that the things that we do wrong, in willful disobedience can effect our children and children's children.  Much the same as the honorable and good things that our forefathers have done we reap those benefits as well.  We have to understand that our actions do not only effect us, but those around us, our children and future generations.  The ability of our tongue to speak life or death can be seen so clearly in this chapter of Proverbs, we must not fall for the deceit of the centuries--that man knows best.  That we have all fallen prey to this idea to the point of downing another person to raise ourselves up.  That we have been in this position at anytime  and won't want to admit that we have operated or are still operating in this spirit.  How can you be instructed in His good and right way if you won't take correction?  Take time out this weekend to listen to this again and really take notes as you look in the mirror to see what you are reflecting back.  We are made in His image and likeness but what reflection do you see in the mirror.  That is where the correction comes in--we should be looking like our Father and doing the things that we see Him doing. Counting the Omer--What's a Omer?

Leviticus 23:15-16

We are walking in today:  Counting the Omer--What's a Omer?

Witness set apart throughout the Bible:  H5674 `abar to sanctify, consecrate to make holy, to passover or by, take away transgression
Exodus 13:12, 19:6, 20:8, 31:13-14, Deuteronomy 5:12, 7:6, 14:2; Ezekiel 36:23; Psalm 4:4; John 17:16-18; Acts 20:32; Romans 6:19

We have looked at the counting of the omer which today we are on day 5.  But what is a omer?  A omer is a unit of measure that generally is the amount of grain that can be obtained from a bundle of grain.  This measurement was used in Jerusalem in the time of the temple,  for the measurement of grain offerings and other dry goods.  Exodus 16:16 This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
The idea of counting up is a change in our thought process--we usually count down to some thing important.  Which when we reach that day can seem like a let down for there is nothing else to look forward to.  When we count up there is expectation to the day that can carry on past what we are counting up to.  The plans that Yahweh has for us is not diminished with the changing of the date.  For He is beyond time, outside of time--He has given us time as a measurement for our lives.  Our time and His time is totally different, much like His thoughts and plans are not our thoughts and plans!  The counting of the omer begins during the feast of unleavened bread, after the Lord's Passover Exodus 12:27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.  This is when the children of Israel were brought out of slavery in Egypt.  They are counting up to the receiving of the Torah which happens 50 days later on the day of Shavout.  The people were brought out of physical slavery at Passover then with the giving of the Torah brings them out of spiritual slavery.  Leviticus 23:15-16 (KJV)15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.  This was a total change for the people of Israel to be fully delivered, they had to be taken into the wilderness, that they would rely on Yahweh to provide for them.  This is a desert climate so water and provision for the people and the cattle would be a concern.  With the things that Elohim provides in the wilderness to remind them who is capable and in charge, we have the reading daily a section of Psalm 119 to remind us of what He has already done for His people.  As we return to Him with our original understanding to be in the place that He is leading us back to.  This day, has another great occurrence, the giving of the Holy Spirit also happened on this day.  So the importance for those who are believers in Yeshua and also direct their lives according to the Torah have a double reason to observe and desire to count up to this day.  An appointed time of Yahweh, also to celebrate us receiving the Comforter who reminds us of what we have learned.  Fiveamprayer, the more we show up at His appointed times, the more we can experience His presence!  Like any other appointment you don't want to be late nor have to wait to reschedule.  Being on time for your appointment shows that you were looking forward to the meeting.  So stay on schedule and find that in the counting of the omer that your expectation of meeting Yahweh is met.  To hear more of today's teaching click here.

The Fourth Commandment Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it .

You shall have a Sabbath of complete rest on Yom Kippur --Leviticus 16:29, 31 29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you: 31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

You shall bring an Omer of your First Fruits on the morrow of the rest day after Passover --Leviticus 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
327. You shall count the Omer, seven weeks from First Fruits, until the morrow, 50 days --Leviticus 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
328. You shall bring two loaves of bread as a wave offering on Shavout --Leviticus 23:17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord.
329. You shall have a holy convocation on Shavout --Leviticus 23:21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
330. You shall not do any laborious work on Shavout --Leviticus 23:21
331. You shall have a holy convocation; a remembrance with shofar blasts on Yom Teruah --Leviticus 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
332. You shall not do laborious work on Yom Teruah --Leviticus 23:25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
333.  You shall not do any work on Yom Kippur --Leviticus 23:29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

The meddler, busybody, nosy, is the one who is in everyone's business--we all know some one and actually have been that person at some point.  Some times even thinking that we are helping out with our meddling.  This is the pursuit of information that is not our business.  And the sharing with others that which is not their business either.  How can we compare our words with a loaded weapon?  Character assassination, is not accomplished with a knife or another weapon but with words.  We have heard that the power of life and death is in our tongue but until this study or re-visit of this tongue taming, did we really realize how much our words matter?  That we have so much weight on the tip of our tongues to cause people so much pain, distress, hurt all due to a lack of control of our words and hasty speech.  How do we keep going around in this circle of those who will destroy people's lives with the lack of control over our words?  The meddler is more dangerous than the gossip who actually receives information directly from the person and them takes theses morsels and uses them for their purpose, irregardless of what is the good and right way.  We are not to be talebearers!  Don't press people for information allow them to share freely or let the issue drop.  Now consider if you are the meddler, would you want someone pumping you for information that you were not willing to share?  Would there be discomfort, embarrassment, anger rising up if you were faced with this situation?  Do you owe every one, every request that they utter towards you?  We have boundaries for the limits that protect both persons that nothing is over stepped or invaded.  Without perimeters we do not know where the line is--that we do not cross it.  To here more of this teaching click here.

Get the Leven Out, Prepare For Passover!

Exodus 12; Leviticus 23:5; Numbers 9:14

We are walking in today:  Get the Leven Out, Prepare For Passover!

Witness set apart throughout the Bible:   H5674 abar  to pass over, cross, cross over, pass over, march over, overflow, go over
Exodus 8:1813:12, 19:6, 20:8, 31:13-14; Deuteronomy 5:12, 7:6, 14:2; Ezekiel 36:23; Psalm 4:4; John 17:16-18; Acts 20:32; Rom 6:19

The upcoming feast day of Yahweh is Passover.  On the Hebrew calendar that would be Nissan 14.  As we have been teaching all this week for those who are new and for a reminder to everyone else.  Remember that this day is not a Jewish holiday, this is the Lord's Passover.  Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's Passover.  The children of Israel were directed in Exodus what steps they were to take at the close out of the 10 plagues of Egypt.  That all would know that Yahweh alone is God and all powerful.  Causing all the false gods that were upheld in Egypt to be shown what they are, lifeless and unable to deliver in the smallest things.  This was a lesson learned by the people in Egypt and Israel.
Do you know that there were a number of people from Egypt that left out with the children of Israel.  Upon closer review of the text we have the instructions to the natural born Israelites and those who come to live among them and walk and live as they do.  Numbers 9:14 (KJV) And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the Lord; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.  Having the witness being set apart which in Hebrew is also defined as pass over, to cross is what the Israelites did after completing the first Passover.  This harkens back to Abram who was sent to a land that Yahweh would show him and became the first Hebrew which can be translated from beyond, one who has crossed over.  Fiveamprayer we are doing the same crossing over from the Greek/Western mindset to return to the Hebrew mindset.  Upon our return we find more similarities than we would expect.  For He knew us before we were born and it is all according to His plan that is not deterred by time, man or anything else.

 Exodus 12  (KJV)

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord's passover.
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.
32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:
36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.
42 It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
43 And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
44 But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.
46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
