This Torah portion begins with the instructions from Moses to Aaron after the death of his sons who went before the Lord in an incorrect manner.  The instructions tells of the proper way to being offerings before Yahweh, how the high priest is to be clothed to enter into the holy of holies, where the presence of Yahweh resided over the cover of the ark.  The requirements for atonement for the high priest to offer sacrifices for the people for the arrival of His presence is the instructions for Yom Kippor, Day of Atonement.  We have to remember that we are not to approach the King of kings just any kind of way.  The love that He shows us is in showing us first that we would know how to approach and not be found out of order.  As we continue in the portion we have the directions for the community and those that come to reside with the children of Israel.  These directions are for all the people to follow without discrimination.  His word is His word, period.  Let us put away the instructions from man that are not from His instructions!  Matthew 23:2-3  (KJV) 2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.  Yeshua tells us that we are to follow the instructions that Yahweh gave to Moses to the children of Israel.  This is His word not the words of man!  Exodus 4:28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.  All that the Lord God King of the Universe speaks is to be upheld and highly regarded--this is the only word that never returns void!  Study to know more and more about Him and what He has in store for you!  To hear more of this lesson click here.
