We are walking in today: The Retaliating Tongue, Only Yahweh Pays Vengeance!
Witness retaliate throughout the Bible: found in the Complete Jewish Bible one time in 1 Peter 2:22-24
We have all at some point had some one who hurt us, whether on purpose or by accident that we were stirred to return the not-so-nice 'favor'. We have come under the misunderstanding that if someone hits you, hit them back. This rule of the playground is not used as often once we grow up but rather instead we use our words to 'get them back'. Turn about is f airplay, right? Wrong, all wrong! Yeshua did not return back evil for evil. He showed us that He would remain peaceful and kind. This is important because only One can pay vengeance. Only the Creator can protect and guard His handiwork. We are hand crafted by Yahweh Himself. We must consider and know, fiveamprayer that we are not to retaliate against His creation! The same protection that we have, our offenders have as well. They too are made in His image and likeness. What we strive against is our fleshly desire to control and handle the situation--while that was never to be the case! In the Tanakh or the first half of the Bible there is direction to how the community was to dictate order and consequences for actions. These were handed down from Yahweh to Moses. This was not to be done in anger for we are too faulty to be trusted! The whole truth of the matter is that this was to help deter the wrong behaviors and seek to live harmoniously in a community. Fiveamprayer, our plotting, scheming and backbiting towards those that have done us wrong is completely out of order! In our pain and offense we have, to retaliate, we have now moved into disobedience. This does not reduce nor relieve the pain that we feel. Will we trust in Almighty God to deliver on all of His word?! Be honest when you took the situation in your hands did it get any better?! Even if a little bit, it was short lived! And then pow--you have really stepped into it now! When you find out that the root cause that began the offense and your retaliation may keep this disobedience going and going. When does it all stop? Who will say when it has been too much? Can you see how easily feuding families can begin and further division in communities or towns? Could this be one of the reasons why Yahweh didn't want us to tear each other down? That is could go on unchecked without limit? We have got to be obedient to His instructions before we understand in our intellect!
Our words and actions matter to others, ourselves and Yahweh over all! We must cease from the disobedience and heated impulses. We must move with purpose and not be in reactionary mode, more mistakes are made that way. The forces of the enemy will try to have you to move before considering the best way to move. This is why many things are taken out of our hands that we are not positioned to do the wrong things. We are learning how to truly walk in His commandments in our daily lives. That we will find the scriptures walking around, operating in our obedience. Fiveamprayer, the Holy Spirit is leading us back to the beginning! We are to have blessings on our lips. Remember the bitter and sweet do not come from the same fountain! This would be a great example in the retaliating tongue, having choice cutting words for the offender and then turn around with blessings for the loved one. Why are we directed to love our enemies--that is not allowing for retaliation--because it is only for Yahweh to dish out as He sees fit. Only He knows all and sees all! Rely and rest, in the highest wisdom! He is more than able to handle it all and certainly in the right way! To hear more of this teaching click here.
