The Tactless Tongue, Speaking From a Root of Anger

Colossians 4:1-6; James 1:26;1 Peter 3:10; Proverbs 15:1, 11:9, 12:18, 12:25; James 1:19; Proverbs 16:32; 21:23

We are walking in today:  The Tactless Tongue, Speaking From a Root of Anger

Fiveamprayer we have to consider that which we will speak in every situation!  We and those in the conversation with us will fare better with a thoughtful response and not be in reaction mode.  We have all too many times had our mouths run away with us and cause untold damage but damage all the same.  Taking a selah moment to consider the real problem--the situation, not the person.  That we are not in such a hurry to respond or defend ourselves will give us the time led by the Holy Spirit to respond in the right way, don't forget that silence is a response as well.  This is no longer a battle of words it is the battle of controlling yourself!   We are to treat others how we want to be treated--would you receive your response that is seeking to leap off of your tongue.  Is it kind?  Is it gracious?  Will these words sow seeds that will bear good fruit in the situation?   Will we uplift the good over the bad?  Or do our words give courage or cause discouragement?  This is what we must consider that we are not speaking with out a pause to bridle that tactless tongue.  To hear more on this teaching click here.
