Looking Further Into The Wisdom Books

Proverbs 5

We are walking in today:  Looking Further Into The Wisdom Books

Teaching from the book:  Preaching and Teaching from the Old Testament. A guide to the church, by Walter C Kaiser

Witness teacher throughout the Bible:  H3925 lamad to learn, to exercise in, be taught or trained
Psalms 119:99; Galatians 4:17; 1 Timothy 1:7; Hebrews 5:12; James 3:1

Here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear Yahweh and keep His commandments, this is the whole duty of man!

Proverbs 5:1-2

My son, pay attention to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding; so that you will preserve discretion and your lips keep watch over knowledge.

As a recap we find passages in Proverbs
, as clusters of passages that form a story versus individual passages that tell parts of the story. In learning how to unlock the mysteries of wisdom found in the book of Proverb by simply using clusters of scriptures to bring clarity to a topic in a narrative. This is the most effective way to bring contextual relationship of wisdom hidden in the passages of Proverbs.

The questions in approaching Proverbs should be:

1. Are there any connections with the following text?
2. How are they connected in contribution to the total subject?
3. Where is the proverbial grouping that forms the basis for the topic at hand?

Now to a little bit of understanding of the book Ecclesiastics--a
book filled with rhetorical devices and also parallel text broken down into four sections.

1. Life is a gift from your way
1:2-2:26
2. Yahweh has a all encompassing plan 3:1-5:20
3.
This plan must be explained and applied 6:1-8:15
4. Discouragement must be removed for believers who apply this plan of Yahweh 8:16-12:7

An explanation of approaching the book of Job
--this is a book o
f heavy dialogue, riddles, simile, and irony. The sovereignty of Yahweh versus the foolish wisdom of man; Job's friends versus the wisdom of Yahweh; Job's integrity and dedication; HaSatan's position and opposition.

In the Songs of Solomon, this book shows you songs of love metaphors and allegories for you and I. As a system of structure for holy matrimony. A beautiful book based on the ways of the gift of marital Godly love versus television and dysfunctional love. A gift to be married people--as to how to love each other the way Yahweh intended.

Proverbs 5:25-23 CJB
Drink the water from your own cistern, fresh water from your own well. Let what your springs produce be dispersed outside, streams of water flowing in the streets; but let them be for you alone and not for strangers with you. Let your fountain, the wife of your youth,be blessed; find joy in her — a lovely deer, a graceful fawn; let her breasts satisfy you at all times, always be infatuated with her love. My son, why be infatuated with an unknown woman? Why embrace the body of a loose woman? For Adonai is watching a man’s ways; he surveys all his paths. A wicked person’s own crimes will trap him, he will be held fast by the ropes of his sin. He will die from lack of discipline; the magnitude of his folly will make him totter and fall.

The series of allegorical metaphors make up the bases of concepts combined points of view. So the warning of drinking water from your own well in verse 15. As well as for the other metaphorical texts 16,18 and 20 are instructions for happiness sexually in a Godly marriage. HalleluYah!!!
As well as the lesson of the strange woman, versus 3-6, contains the warnings of entertaining the strange woman. The nokri H5237 adulterous, adulterous woman, alien, foreigner and stranger danger.

So the conclusion of the matter:
We have walked through the Old Testament like never before--breaking the seal of consciousness on understanding how to rightly approach the Scriptures the way Yahweh intended.  Everything is done in decency and order. Even though the power of Yahweh's words spoke life into the physical realm. Everything still has its order for existence. Sunset to moon
rise, the seasons change, time tics on and all of these in their circuits. As should be the careful approach to interpreting his word. Systems and structures from an ever intelligent Yahweh. That leaves no room for human interpretations of errors that leads to contradictions and confusion. Whereas the system of this world's kingdom operates "confusion". But no!!! A kingdom based off of the excellent King!! With principles and promises as well as laws and consequences. Your choice to pick or choose. But it never negates the kingdoms rules.
