This arrangement of the 613 principles, the law of our Lord God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is from the book by Rabbi Ralph Messer, Torah: Law Or Grace? Kingdom Principles For Kingdom Living.  This book can be ordered online  http://store.torah.tv/browse.cfm/torah:-law-or-grace-book/4,4821.html

The Second Commandment-Exodus 20:4-5 You shall have no other gods before Me.  You shall not make yourself a carved image nor any likeness of that which is in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the water beneath the earth.  You shall not prostrate yourself to nor worship them, for I am the LORD your God--a jealous God.

132. You shall not offer a blemished animal as a Fire-Offering --Leviticus 22:22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the Lord, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the Lord.

133. You shall not offer any part of a blemished animal on the Altar --Leviticus 22:22

134.  You shall not offer a blemished animal on the Altar, on in the Land --Leviticus 22:24 Ye shall not offer unto the Lord that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

135. You shall not offer an animal from from the hand of a stranger --Leviticus 22:25 Neither from a stranger's hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

136. You shall offer an animal only from its eighth day on as a Fire-Offering --Leviticus 22:27 When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

137. You shall not leave any Feast Offering until morning --Leviticus 22:30 On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the Lord.

138. You shall not sell the fields of the open land of the Levites --Leviticus 25:34 But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

139. You shall not emplace a flooring stone upon which to prostrate yourself --Leviticus 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

140. You shall expel from the camp everyone who has tzara'as a zav-emission, or is contaminated by a dead body --Numbers 5:2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

141. A unclean person shall not contaminate their camps --Numbers 5:3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

Ecclesiastes 1:9-10

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

As we continue to study from the book
,
P
reaching and
T
eaching from the Old Testament
,

h
ow to effectively interpret and understand the Old Testament. The various styles of approaching the almost forgotten books in this section of the word.
This b
rings relevance and comprehension for the modern times of our day.
These v
arious forms of styles

we have studied in the previous lessons
, s
hows how very much
is
needed to effectively understand the words context.

Using certain narrative tools as
mentioned before and will be
further illustrated.
  This will aide in
the breakdown and understanding of the Scriptures
, for those who will and are teaching Yahweh's word
.

The plot: As the movement of the story has a beginning, midpoint and endpoint of the subject or story at hand. T
his
art of building the story to its point of climax
, b
ut emphasizing on the body of the story at hand.

The point of view: The perspective of the story told by the narrator. Helps the student or teacher focus on situations a specific events. Basically the understanding of the topic at hand and bringing it's entire meaning together.

1 Kings 17:24

And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth.

In this twenty-fourth verse, t
he widow perceives that every word Elijah proclaimed in the name of Adonai came to pass.

Her viewpoint in light of the many events, poverty, drought, abandonment and despair. Was all summed up in her perspective. The miracles of Yahweh's provision and promises are true
!

Characterization: When looking in the scriptures and the description of people. It is important to look at 4 aspects
:
their actions and interactions
the character's speeches
the speeches of other characters about specific characters
the narrator's specific comments about the character

Of w
hich
these
can be either static or dynamic
.

1 Samuel 9:2

And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.

The description of Saul in this passage paints the picture of a tall handsome man. This method of studying characterization is called static
, shows the s
ame actions of the character.
A
nother method with a character in various situations which is called dynamic. For example Samson
is
very dynamic
, a
s a character in the word.

His life was full of ups and downs variations and changes.

Using the characterization method to study.

One must be careful not to focus on the character entirely.
 We have to keep
reminding oneself that the sum of the study brings you back to Yahweh.

To see Yahweh through the actions, subject and plot of the narrative is to make sure the reader doesn't miss

the point. What is Yahweh saying to you through the characters and events in the passages
