Men Of Torah--Power Of The Word

1 Samuel 3

We are walking in today:  Men Of Torah--Power Of The Word

Teaching from the book--Preaching and Teaching from The Old Testament
:  A Guide to the church. By Walter C. Kaiser Jr.

We must afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted
--hold high the commission of the gospel of The Anointed One. This mindset of teaching is duel in nature, but true in spirit. As our benevolent Yahweh's nature of rebuke and restoration, repentance and receiving. Still teaching the truth  while effectively allowing the power of His word to fully fill His intentions. His instructions come to

break the captives free in their minds!

Proverbs 29:18 Without a prophetic vision, the people throw off all restraint;but he who keeps Torah is happy.

Longing to see only the power of Yahweh's word as the second most greatest gift to be given from heaven. Other thaHis life atoning word spoken to Adam--the death of man and promise of his restoration. We esteem the exposition with a much tactful apprehension and conveyance. Searching for key structures and devices to comprehend content in the text.  This is a powerful characteristic that should be focused on.
The first characteristics is
scarcity. The word can become so scarce that they who
hear
it can be startled.  Due to the fact of non-abundance of it being practiced or
spoken. This famine of His word reveals the love of man for Yahweh and himself is diminished and dwindled.

Amos 8:11-12
The time is coming,” says Adonai Elohim,“when I will send famine over the land, not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Adonai. People will stagger from sea to sea
and from north to east, running back and forth, seeking the word of Adonai;but they will not find it.

The word can become
more than startling, even a great call to His obedience. As
in the case with Samuel who was called three times by Yahweh, yet he thought it was Eli who spoke.
It was time for the needed correction of his sons in the office of the temple, their actions were teaching and permitting the people to follow in dysfunction.  This correction of Eli and calling of Samuel shows, the changing of the guards so to speak. Samuel was thinking that Eli was calling his name--once Eli considered Samuel hearing his name called and trying to answering, that it was the voice of Yahweh Himself, calling him.  They were both brought to attention while slumbering.  Being woken from your slumber can be very startling!!! That which Yahweh gives to Samuel after being called are the just judgements accepted by the ears of Eli.

1 Samuel 3:19

Sh’mu’el kept growing, Adonai was with him, and he let none of his words fall to the ground.

The word is sovereign over us, for us and through us. It will come to pass whether we speak it or not. As if we were there when Yahweh opened the floodgates that filled the sea
, or hung the sun and the moon in its journeys, or flung the uncountable stars.  We are called to speak His words, that those who hear would take and make the necessary correction. When we fail to warn and relay His word, their judgement falls on us also for not allowing them time to come to correction.

The word secures
--it is the final say so. The fundamental aspects of the power of the word
--look at the narrative once again with me as students who approach a skillful teacher. How much more comprehension is understood, from our teaching and instruction from on high?

All this done to return to the origins, the original plan of Yahweh--freed minds growing
in belief
 and understanding

As Yahweh's word is manifest
as promised and was always intended. Here we find that by studying His word and following His exact plan.

Isaiah 55:10-11 For just as rain and snow fall from the sky and do not return there, but water the earth, causing it to bud and produce, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes out from my mouth —it will not return to me unfulfilled;but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do.”
