We are walking in today:  Unmasking The Spiritual Jezebel--The Spirit Of Influence

Witness Jezebel  throughout the Bible:  H348 Iyzebel (e-ze-bel) Baal exalts" or "Baal is husband to" or "unchaste"
Guest Speaker Rabbi Ralph Messer

Far too often the name Jezebel has been thrown around the church body for as long time but do we have the proper understanding of this spirit?  As we have come to shift from a Greek to a Hebraic mindset there are some key points we have to be aware of.
First off this spirit is not gender specific--that men can also be under the influence of the Jezebel spirit.  Take Jonathan the 'great friend' of David for example.  A few of the times that Saul found him was when only Jonathan knew where he was.  Because of the high frequency of this spirit operating in ministries you have experienced this influence or even walked in this influence--at some time or another
As we can see from the scripture in Revelation that we are not to tolerate the Jezebel spirit but how does it start?  How could we be infected with this influence?  This operates in those who have experienced rejection or poor relationship with parents that has been unresolved.  Not gender specific so this can be seen in both men and women.  Remember that this spirit works in concert with the Ahab spirit to wreak the havoc where ever it goes.  We must look to ourselves first before looking to others! At some time or the other we have all been influenced or operated in the Jezebel or Ahab spirits.
Effects of the Jezebel spirit, sickness often related to breathing when not repented of can effect the next generation. They will question leadership to cause division.

Seeks to be seen as knowing more than the leader, to gain prominence, also viewed as a victim of society, seeks authority as their right, operates in pride, wears a mask of false humility, seeks multiple teachers (does not see that they should remain with one teacher).  May uses flattery to gain access to the inner circle of leadership.  Is found saying, "I just want to be with you.  I just want to be your friend.  It was on my heart to pray for you.  I am always here to support you."  Which are not terrible things to say to someone, but the caution for review is looking to the intention of these words.  Is there a relationship been cultivated to this point of saying these things?  Or could something else be at work?  With the discernment of the Holy Spirit you would be able to determine what is going on or at least be mindful to keep watching.  This spirit of influence will cause the person to have no fruit for all of their boasting or announcing of the greatness of their ability.  We must be aware to keep ourselves or ministries safe.  This spirit is tied to the Leviathan spirit that is similar to a crocodile that only the eyes are seen and the body is under the surface.  Gliding silently through the water waiting to attack and once it has it's victim will take them under the water to drown them and store them under a log for later feasting.
It is this seemingly encouragement and flattery that may allow them access to the inner circle to lie in wait for a low point to better position themselves.  Remember that is not a compliment but a positioning, if this Jezebel spirit is in operation.
How does this spirit appear in men?  Let's look at Absalom, David's son who wanted the kingdom that was not given to him.  He sought to draw others to himself in disagreement with the current regime.  Building up others to his side and then waiting for the time to strike or divide.  It is these short cuts and throwing off of authority and resisting correction.  This influence can even duplicate and gets others to do their duty work while the real operator is full of pride and a huge ego, yet presents themselves as a humble servant.  The desire to remove leadership and stands against Yahweh's kingdom for this plan has been tried with other Ahab's and will work through others to accomplish their goals.
A door to access to the person's life can be due to previous rejection resulting in a desire for complete control to keep from being hurt again.  The person may be skilled in the scriptures and operates in finesse, with a prophetic calling.
Those in prophetic ministries or those who teach Torah will draw attack from the Jezebel spirit.  The biggest fear of Jezebel is being exposed by the prophetic person who teaches the people.  In some instances is very knowledgeable of scripture, even a teacher of the word of Yahweh.
Now you know someone controlling and manipulative loves to keep drama going between people. Secrecy is the key too many successes of Jezebel spirit. Verbal, mental and spiritual attacks are main vices of destruction also putting people against one another, while playing both sides of the fence.
The root of the spirit of Jezebel, boils down to the hosts self-esteem, abandonment and rejection issues. That opens room for the spiritual leech to march right on in!
The thing about Hebrews, is that we study and are a active community.  We realize our relationship with Yahweh is personal and in daily constant communion, but with that comes accountability or self evaluation. So I said all that to say that Jezebel can be you. No time for indignation...only a very careful warning and self checks. Trust me I'm as transparent as it gets. Ask me and I'll tell you the truth. I have found some Jezzy in me throughout the years.
This exciting series of unmasking the spirit of Jezebel will blow your mind. Whereas only a master of a Tanakh can do. By the way 1 Kings is found in the Tanakh, which has the Torah (1st five books of the Bible) and the entire rest of the Old Testament is in Hebrew Bible. Some of the men and woman stories pulled out of the word and their identities--we thought we're good people. Only to have the revelation these people operated under the Jezebel spirit as well. Eve for an example operated under a rebellious spirit by assuming that the word of Yahweh could be changed. The commandment not to eat of the fruit of good and evil less she should surely die was given. But the words spoken to Eve from the serpent were the twisted words of  Yahweh. She was deceived and in turn deceived or husband. To imagine one to become like Yahweh knowing all good and evil. Saul the first king of Israel had the spirit of rebellion and manipulation as he spoke to the Prophet and lied about his reason for sacrificing. And goes on to a love and hate relationship with David. We even come to find out that even Jonathan, Saul's son whom we thought loved David dearly, played with Jezzy too.
