Leviticus 6:1-8:36; 1 Samuel 15:1-34; 2 Corinthians 1-3

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion--Tzav/Command, Leviticus 6:1-8:36; 1 Samuel 15:1-34; 2 Corinthians 1-3

Witness peace offering throughout the Bible: H8002 requital, sacrifice for alliance or friendship
Leviticus 3:1, 3:3, 3:6, 3:9, 6:12; Ezekiel 46:2; 46:12

This portion begins with the children of Israel getting instructions on what and when to make offerings to Yahweh, giving the duties of the both the priests and the people in the bringing of offerings. There are various offerings that are not currently upheld due to the passage of time and man's traditions.  Not all of the offerings are required now, due to the perfect blood that was offered up by Yeshua.  As the animals were to be brought up with out any defect and sacrificed by the priests who would make sure that the fire on the altar, never went out.  There is an account that the fire stayed burning for 116 years before it ever went out!  That is real preparation and dedication to what Yahweh has said.  In another portion of the text 'strange fire' was offered--and it was not pleasing to Yahweh and those who supposed to do such a thing, lost their lives.
Fiveamprayer let us return to the honor and understanding of His word and directions.  Regardless of the passing of time or culture, His word stands forever!  The liberty and freedom felt in His guardrails for our lives is beyond compare!  He is loving, kind and hand-crafted us, of course He would not seek our demise!  We can all admit that we have tried our lives outside of His purpose and best will for us with little or sporadic glimpses of success.  Take a look at what He gives us to do, first the guesswork is all gone!  He even opens up our understanding in the repetition of the actions because you have a heart of obedience.   The further we go on the journey as Hebrews, ones who have crossed over--as Abram was directed by Almighty God, Yahweh to go to a land that He would show him, Genesis 12.  The blessing was in the obedience.  Will you trust that the creator of all things knows the best plan for your life?  Has He already seen the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end?  Who has a better overview of your life and situation?  As the song says, nobody greater, nobody greater--nobody greater than You, Yahweh our God!
