Bow Down And Worship Him!

Matthew 2:1-12; Matthew 2:3, 13; Isaiah 45:23; Romans 14:11; Luke 23:34; John 8:11; Acts 2:17; 1 Chronicles 16:29; John 4:22-23; Hebrews 11:6; Luke 15:3-8

We are walking in today: Bow Down And Worship Him!

Matthew 2:1-121) Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2) Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3) When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4) And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 5) And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 6) And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. 7) Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8) And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. 9) When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10) When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11) And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. 12) And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. The gospel of Matthew paints the picture, of Jesus as King. This is where Matthew puts the emphasis, and where we should also put the emphasis--Jesus is King! This stands out in this text, Jesus is born, king in Bethlehem and take notice that Jesus dies with these words over head on the cross-- Jesus, the King of the Jews. True, true, Jesus is the King! But His kingdom is not of this world. His kingly rule is now in people's hearts. Here, He now rules as King and Savior, yet what do we see here in Matthew 2:1-12? It is not the Jews but the Gentiles who worshiped the King of the Jews. Who are these Gentiles? These are Magi, who studied the stars and skies above us. These Gentiles come from a foreign land, probably Babylon. They know about and respond to heaven's truth, the King is born. In their words, 'we have come to worship Him'. Now look at the Jewish people. The religious leaders in Jerusalem, how do they respond? What about other people like king Herod, how do they respond? How about you and me--how do we respond? He is King of kings and Lord of lords! There are people like Herod who actually oppose Christ the King.(Matthew 2:3, 13) Magi from the east came to Jerusalem, and asked where is the one who has born king of the Jews? Who saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him. When king Herold hears this he, was disturbed and all Jerusalem with him. Herod was known as the wicked king and wants to kill Jesus. Take a snap shot of this scene-- the Magi come seeking the star in the eastern heavens that starts them on their journey. They come seeking to worship the King Jesus, which is the climax of their journey. Don't forget that these Magi's are mighty and wealthy men, they might have been in the presence of the king of Babylon, they are highly ranked in society, but here they are, kneeling in this little village of Bethlehem. Keep this in mind, they regard this place as better than any kings palace. They bow to this child, as the most glorious King of kings! It is not the poor circumstances, it is the divine person that impacts, their lives! Here they bow down to worship Jesus! It is the greatest moment in their lives! Some day the Bible says, Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. This includes those that oppose Jesus. These men bowed down in reverence and true worship to King Jesus. The Magi's worship Him! Jesus is the King of kings, the Bible declares it and this world will know it when Jesus returns! So bow down and worship Him!

Get up this morning, get on your face to worship the King, Jesus! The Christ child that the wise men were seeking, who had come in preparation to worship Him! Emmanuel, God with us! Worship Him because of who He is! It is not about what He has done. He is El Shaddai, He is Jehovah Rapha, He is Jehovah Tsidkenu. Jesus came to set the captives free, to take away the sins of the world. He came to bring us life more abundantly in Him! By His stripes we were healed. He left us with the Comforter. He is the Alpha and the Omega and knows the beginning from the end. He is the Lord, our Shepherd! Bow down and worship Him! Come let us adore Him! Fiveamprayer, unto us a Savior was born! He brings us peace on Earth, good will towards men! Hallelujah God! He has been better to us than we have been to ourselves. He loved us before we loved ourselves! While He was yet being crucified said--Luke 23:24 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Fall down to your knees and worship Him! Tell Him, I give You glory because of who You are! Give Him honor and praise! Hallelujah God! Bow down and worship Him! Can you imagine the presence of the Lord when the Magi's found Him?! They gave Him the right response--worship. There is no other response in His presence! John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her,Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.He does not come to condemn us, but to deliver us if we will freely receive of Him! Like this woman in John 8, you will be changed by an encounter with God! Bow down and worship Him-all day today! Stay in a spirit of worship. He will stay all over us today as we stay in worship! Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. 1 Chronicles 16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. John 4:22-23 22) Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God wants to know who will still worship Him with all hell breaking loose in their lives?! They are not seeking to conform to the world that they will stand up and stand out for God! Will you be found seeking God and walking this out by faith and not by sight? Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. On this Christmas morning, bow down and worship Him! We come together on one accord to give Him worship! We bow down and worship Him! We bring ourselves to the alter and lay our will down, our way down. We submit to You Lord and to You only. We gather together to worship Him, the Savior of all men!(Luke 15:3-8) We ask for forgiveness, Lord. We have been seeking other things instead of You! We lay aside all the inferior, temporary and false things for the true, eternal and treasure of You! Thank You God for forgiving us with no condemnation! You cast our sins away as far as the east is from the west. Thank You for teaching us to forgive others that we too are forgiven! We bow down to worship You! Happy birthday, Jesus!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit: I bow down and I worship You, Lord!

Welcome to the overflow...

Thank You Lord! Bow down and worship Him! Thank You God, just because of who You are! The faithful, wise, long-suffering, healing and compassionate God! He is a hiding place! He is a solid Rock! He is a rewarder to those that diligently seek Him! He is our Way in a manger! Worship Him! Hosanna in the highest! Merry Christmas! Christ was born that we may live! Tell Him all day, I will bow down and worship Him! Because of who You are! We bow down. He is a keeper if you keep your mind stayed on Him! His peace surpasses all under understanding! With Him you will have joy unspeakable, even when things get tough! Rest in the Father for He cares for you!
