Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Job 6:25 How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?John 1:7  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
James 3:8-10 8) But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9) Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10) Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Proverbs 11:13 (NLT) A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.

Thank you fiveamprayer for joining us on the close out of this awesome study!  Thank You God for coming to clean us up, that we would speak life and not everything that comes to our mind.  We praise Your name, we have learned to take a selah moment to ponder if we should utter what is on our tongue.  Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to give us urgings to know when and what to speak.   Thank You that we keep Your word in our hearts and minds that we would only speak peace, love and kindness that we will look to speak the things of the heavenly kingdom.  Thank You for this study that we learn that in yielding and seeking You we are able to speak to the deeper things of God in every situation.  Thank You God for Your willing and humble servant, Sandy Bell for her time in this study, that she came on the line every day for four weeks giving us insight on what the tongue can do--especially if it is not yielded unto the Holy Spirit and a heart seeking You, God and Your word meditating in our minds!  Thank You God for coming to get us cleaned up, we are made in Your image and likeliness and we should reflect that in our actions and how we speak to others!  Thank You God for taking our hand to walk through this that we make the necessary corrections and to repent when we see that we have fallen short.  We will continue to get up--Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.  Thank You God for showing us that we can rise up and not be in mischief because we are seeking after what You have already given unto us.  We must abide by the leading of the Holy Spirit and we will be made to be more and more like You!  Thank You God for coming to give us a revelation, not a resolution for this new year but, a word that we can stand on and walk in.  A word from You, God can never be reversed nor return void, that is why a revelation of Your word is a much greater gift than a resolution that is often abandoned shortly after it is professed.  That is another difference of doing things man's way instead of God's way.  Let us heap up and seek after heavenly treasures that bring eternal life and are pleasing unto God and not the things that will be moth eaten or rust can destroy! We come to ask for forgiveness, Lord.  During this study we have learned how often and how much we are hurting others, we have been charged by Christ Himself in, John 13:34-35 34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to anotherThank You God for this awesome study and that we would continue in seeking to be more and more like our Father.  Lord we want to be seen by others that we take after our Father.  Fiveamprayer keep your tongue on a fast that your teeth would be the cage for this unruly animal!  Thank You God for showing us ourselves and giving us the tools to make the correction to walk this out as You would have us to.  That we would speak life and peace whenever we speak to others--2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  Thank You God that with our tongues submitted to the Holy Spirit we can be used as tools to reach the lost so that no man is lost!  Amen!  Praise Your holy name!  To listen to this again click here.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  I will speak words seasoned with grace and speak the truth in love.  Holy Spirit help me to walk in 1 Corinthians 13, love does not demand it own way.  God has full charge of my tongue, and I will only speak honor to His name.  I am a trustworthy person and I can be depended on!  Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Ecclesiastes 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

  1. Ive heard people say that the older you get, the less you understand. In your youth you have that confidence, sort of blind confidence which allows you to take chances and do things you might not do when youre older because you know better. See the link below for more info.
