We are walking in today: Renew In Me A Right Spirit!
Psalm 51:1-10 1) Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2) Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 3) For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 4) Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. 5) Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6) Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7) Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8) Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. 9) Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. 10) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Let's look at David, he was really repentant for the ordeal and he cries out for true restoration. Renew a right spirit within me. David started out with the right spirit and through the course of successes and promotions he forgot about the very thing that God honored him for, his right spirit. When Samuel the prophet was commanded to choose a king he made it clear that God looks upon the heart ,not the outward. David was crying out for a right spirit. We might wonder does it really matter? Yes, it does! It could make you or break you in your journey of faith and expectations of the blessings of God. First let us consider the term renew: to build, it is the process of building. Ask God going into the new year to renew a right spirit in me to speak the word of God. The definition of right spirit is to stand proper in spirit. If we are to proclaim victory to the defeated nations, we must have a right victorious spirit. In other words to have the preacher go and preach salvation, make sure they are saved themselves! Mindsets to consider, just because the things are done right doesn't constitute a right spirit, nor does correct theology or Biblical understanding. Your gossip might be facts but what kind of spirit is it of? What is your motive? You may operate in spiritual gifts like in--1 Corinthians 13:1-3 1) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Think about it. You may seem to accomplish much but without a right spirit you accomplish nothing! We shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 11) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12) Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13) Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. Our motives will be tested with fire and our personal agendas will be monitored. God looks upon the heart, we work so hard to look right on the outside, let's contend to look right on the inside! On yesterday we walked in say what you mean and mean what you say. How we respond to offenses, determines our victory over our defeat. It is easy to proclaim and declare a scripture of faith, victory and blessings, but what does our heart really say? You can say that you are the head and not the tail all day long--but what does your heart say? We must contend for a right spirit. We cannot experience victory with a wrong corrupted spirit! How do you respond to other people younger than you in the Lord, being promoted over you? Other saints of God being used mightily even if you feel you are more holy than they are. How do you respond when other saints of God are talking about you? What if you have people leaving the church you lead or your ministry? That those who are leaving are saying that they are wrong or were being mistreated? How is your spirit? I have met many ministers of God who have been corrupted by jealously, competition, and others leaving their ministry. They became bitter and controlling, walking in fear and suspicion. If you desire to see your ministry or personal life be blessed, then maintain a right spirit! It is enforcement time! We have to say what we mean and mean what we say! Ask God to renew in you a right spirit in you in 2013!
So many of us are walking around with the wrong spirit, look at David this morning. He was begging and pleading to God to renew in him a right spirit! If we are gonna truly get this taming of the tongue down and ask for the impossible, we are gonna have to have the right spirit! We walked through 30 days of the taming of the tongue. We are asking God for the impossible and He taught us how to speak His word! We learned that we must worship God in spirit and in truth. No more being lead by the flesh but only by the spirit! That is why He comes today with this word, that we ask Him to renew in us a right spirit within us! That is how we will be able to hold our peace and let God fight out battles. The battle is not ours but the Lord's! Let us have a right spirit--ask God to renew, revive and refresh you. Show us how to stand on Your word, Lord. We must stand on His word to fight. The power of life and death is in our tongues. We have to have a right spirit within us to be able to endure and hold on. We will have to be quiet some times, that God would speak up for us. He wants to know do you trust Him or are you still trying to work things out yourself. We have to know and understand that God is in control. All that you have been going through, do you call Him Jehovah Jireh and really mean what you say? We have to walk this out by faith and not by sight. All weekend ask God to renew a right spirit within you! We have to cast down imaginations immediately that are against God's word. Seek God in prayer, that you would draw closer and closer to Him. There has to be no fear or doubt walking with you. You will have to let some people go as we head into 2013. You may have to walk this out alone. Ask for a renewed right spirit, that you can tell the devil that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper and really stand on that word. We are empowered and made able to ask for the impossible! No wavering or second guessing--who knows more than God?! We have to stand no matter what. We are standing on His word which is a Rock of Ages, so as much as you stand on His word, His word will stand under you! Ask God to renew a right spirit in you. Ask God for a second touch. Sit at His feet all day praying until you can't pray anymore. God is doing a new thing, be renewed fiveamprayer. Lord we want a renewed right spirit as we walk into 2013. God will do some impossible things in our lives! We will walk in that! The spirit man is rising up, we are more than conquers, more than overcomers. Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? For surely we can over take this devil! We have to know what God deposited on the inside of us! We walked in taming the tongue for 30 days, then He has us ask for a right spirit to be renewed in us. What an awesome God we serve! We are not fighting flesh and blood! Renew in us a right spirit, Lord. With You, all things are possible. We are on the alter, we know that no one but God can do this! The devil is already defeated! We can say the name Jesus, and the enemy has to flee. Lord rise up let Your enemies be scattered! Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. We have to put on our armor of God, make ready for battle. God is renewing our right spirit within us! Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Thank You Jesus for presenting us faultless to the Father! Renew in us a right spirit and a clean heart! God is always here to protect us, 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. You are being tested, just coming out of a 30 fast of the tongue. Jesus fasted for 40 days and at the end of His fast was tempted while in the wilderness. God has filled us with His wisdom! The enemy wants to see if we will move from position--from what God just taught us in this fast. Will you move out of position by speaking the wrong thing or being silent at the wrong time? Pass this test, don't go around the mountain again! Don't move or get caught up! Renew in us a right spirit, Lord! Prepare us for 2013, You know all and see all, Lord. There is no one else that we will seek for answers! Only Your way is good and true! We are listening and hearing only what You speak to us! We have to know what season that we are in. Ask God for the impossible for 2013. No, not everyone will go with you in to 2013. God came that we would have life and that more abundantly! 1 Corinthians 10:26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. Renew in us a right spirit, Lord. No more living beneath God's best for us! Why are you fighting this thing in the natural? This is a spiritual warfare! We have to walk this out by faith! We can not continue doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different response by famous quote and by definition--extreme folly or unreasonableness, something utterly foolish or unreasonable--is insanity! Renew us Lord, that we can follow You truly. Fiveamprayer don't miss God! Move when He moves, make sure you are in the shift when it happens. Lord give us a renewed right spirit within us! David, when he makes this plea knows that God is the only one who can do this. Crucify our flesh, that we can really walk in this renewed right spirit! Only the Holy Spirit can tame the tongue. We thank You Lord! We are in repentance, we repent like David this morning. Wash us in the blood, Lord. Give us a clean heart, that we may serve You! Let us walk into 2013 made brand new by God! Don't drag 2012 into this new year. Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. We are not looking to make a resolution but to walk in revelation of God's word! God given revelations will always outlast man made resolutions! Renew in us a right spirit, Lord! So that we can stand and stand some more. We lift up fiveamprayer, we come asking for a renewal of a right spirit in us. We know that our lifestyle is not lining up with You, Lord. We need a new mindset and a clean heart. We repent now for all the wrong that we have done. We lift up prayer requests those known and unknown, so many of us are tired of doing things the same way. Renew in me a right spirit, even if I loose some things and people along the way. Forgive me, Lord I have only sinned against You! I am crying out to You, renew in me a right spirit within me! Thank You Lord! Fiveamprayer we have to get up! Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Go into 2013 with power and authority! Ask Him for the impossible. We have got to have a renewed right spirit. Thank You for using Sandy Bell in the teaching on the taming of the tongue. What an awesome study in preparation for 2013 and asking You for the impossible! Fiveamprayer what are you saying over your children, spouses, family or friends? God is the provider, not the money--He is a keeper! You ought to feel your spirit man rising up! We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us! Some people will have to fall away, let them go. It is holding you back in your ministry. Stop dragging along dead weight. Those not walking upright with God is causing you to waiver. You can't walk out of this year asking God for the impossible and they are in doubt! Everyone can't go with you in 2013. If you don't let them go, God will have them removed. That is why people fell off this year, they can't go with you into next year. You still love them and pray for them. You will have to catch them in the next season. You have been waiting year after year that they would get it together. That is what is blocking your blessing. How can God bless you when you are holding on to something else? You are not God, only God can save! You have done our part, now let it go. Continue to pray for them, prayer changes things. Somethings we have to leave in 2012. Have no doubt or fear, they can't walk with you into 2013, leave it in 2012. In 2013, those walking with you must have the same mindset. Thank You Lord for this word this morning!
We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit: Renew in me a right spirit and give me a clean heart, so I can serve You, Lord. We are going into 2013, renewed and asking for the impossible!

Judgement is coming to the house of God first. Come to my house God, get me cleaned up! Those folks that have fallen off could not go with us in 2013. God has been telling us for months that everybody can't go with you. So we should not be surprised that there are folks dropping out. Keep them lifted up in prayer, prayer changes things! Pray about releasing anyone from your life!
Don't just use this word as an excuse to let people go. Make sure you are hearing from God about it--we must seek God in all things!
